“Great value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2011

Was a bit worried about what the hotel would be like as we booked our holiday at the last minute for a cheap price. But as soon as we arrived all worries disappeared. we arrived around midnight and the lovely Scottish man on reception (never got his name, sorry!) checked us in and escorted us to our room. We stayed in a studio apartment and it was a lot bigger than expected! Plenty of storage space, and a good sized bathroom. The room was cleaned pretty much every day with clean bed linen and towels. The only problem was that the bed was very squeaky. During the day there was always plently of free sunbeds and the pool area was always well kept and clean. The hotel was around a 20-25 minute walk to Paphos harbour but there was plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Would really reccommend the Indian restaurant Koh-i-Noor (I think was the name), just a one minute walk from the hotel, best curry I've ever had! Fat Mama's was also a great place to eat, but the portion sizes were overwhelming, one meal was enough to feed about three people. Nice food though! Overall, an excellent holiday and would definatley return to the Kefalonitis :)

Stayed here for 10 days in June. Requested a room with pool view and sunny balcony, never expected this as it was a last minute booking, however that is what we got. Very pleased. Basic one bed apartment, clean and had everything we needed, TV in room with Fox movie channel (in English) nice touch for relaxing out of the sun for a bit. Be warned the beds are solid, back ached a lot on them. Pool area is nice with cafe / bar beside it. Location is good, on the Kings Road,5 min walk to Tomb of the Kingse and 15 min walk to Kato Phapos and harbour. Loads of good bars and restaurants. Tramps is good,Eulysses is a lovely Cypriot bar man,he makes everyone very welcome. The Indian Ko-I -Noor is excellent-one of the best and Moulins fish restaurant is superb. Overall a good holiday, very very hot. Buses are one Euro to anywhere, great service-even to the airport..taxis take 35 euros!!!!

Room Tip: Just ask for what you like, you might get it

We have just returned from a week away at the Kefalonitis Apts, a visit primarily to attend our friends wedding. We had a great time. We were dubious of going to Cyprus as it is too hot. It is and it got hotter every day but the air con was fantastic and it was also very quiet whilst running ( previous experience of other units, they very noisy). The apartment was great, very spacious. we stayed in 2 bed apartment overlooking pool and we couldnt have wished for better. It was cleaned and the beds were made every day. We always came back to a clean room and the even folded my nightshirt on the bed! The hairdryer was welcome and the bathroom was great. (no horrible mould grouting you usually get in foreign hotels) We always got a sunbed, we went to pool in afternoons and the pool was great. We never had cause to complain and the staff were very friendly. We didnt really eat here but our son had a couple of snacks and he said they were good. The local restaurants around there were excellent, especially The Farm House (I am the fussiest eater and their food was absolutely marvellous). Their menu was predominantly meat and their steaks were great. But the Beef Stroganoff was fab. The Metaxxa just off the main road was good too. Fat Mammas was OK but their portions are far too big. My husband had cannelloni in a massive quiche dish and there would have been enough for all four of us. We left a lot of the food and we didnt go back again. We had a great holiday and if we return to Paphos we will definitely go back to the KEF

We stayed here in may 2011 for 2 weeks, and have to say Nicos and Andrea and maria, were great. We have stayed in other self catering apatments in paphos but have to say these by far are the best!. Very spacious and close to everything you need, restaurants, buses, and we definately will be staying again.

Have just returned from a 2week stay at the Kefaloitis. On arrival we where greeted by Ted the night manager he was very welcoming took us to our appartment assisting us with our cases. Our studio app. was spacious simply furnished clean with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. During our stay we met other guests who had returned yearly over the last ten years. This is a hotel we can recommend for its friendlyness and great value.

We have just come back from a great 2 week stay at the Kefalonitis. This was our first visit to Cyprus although we have been to many Greek islands over the years and the Kefalonitis was a great choice and lived up to the many positive reviews. All our requests made prior to arrival were met (we can be a bit fussy) and when we arrived we were assured that if the apartment was not to our satisfaction then it would be changed, it was great but we were still asked just about everyday if everything was okay....it was no complaints at all. The apartment was spacious and kept very clean and all the really staff friendly, Ted the night porter is a mine of information and a real asset. The family who own and run the Kefalonitis give it that personal touch often missing in the larger corporate type places and were really helpful and friendly. We were given good advice on how to get to places etc. We were made welcome and it was a relaxing stay.We would certainly stay there again. It is a good location for the historical sites (all of which are a must), village and harbour area both all within fairly easy walking distance, walk to the harbour via the coastal path a bit longer but very nice. There is good local bus service which stops close by 2 euros per day for unlimited travel ( I think it is cheaper for a week etc) just ask the driver for a day pass otherwise it is 1 euro per journey, you can get from/to the airport on this ticket as well. There are good restaurants close by especially the Farm House, go out of the apartments turn right to main road (Tomb of the Kings road) ,turn right at the chinese ,cross the road, towards the tomb of the kings, it is about 100metres...excellent food and service also very reasonable, we ate there 5/6 times. The Brothers is another good place, walk up the main road towards the hotel strip, away from the harbour. We never had a bad meal anywhere.
For trips try the local agents usually much cheaper there is a good one near the Farm House ( forgotten name).
