“Great place to stay- and I'm VERY fussy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Friendly staff, 2 pools (one quiet and 5 foot deep all round so adult orientated), air conditioned throughout, ideally situated, clean and well equipped.

Easily the best equipped hotel I've stayed in: B&B aparthotel is what it's billed as and it easily ,lives up to that.
They're very proud of their 4 1/2 star rating from Tripadvisor and take care to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.

We had a room on the 3rd floor, being a couple only that was no problem but I'm sure they'd accomodate those who don't like the stairs!
It had air con in both the main room (2 sofas, TV, dining table and chairs, balcony with chairs, table and drying rack over looking the pool, electric oven and hob, kettle, toaster, sink, fridge with freezer compartment and plenty of decent crockery, cutlery etc).
Breakfast is good and well stocked, there is a supermarket attached which is quite well stocked also and a pharmacist just up the road (Greek Pharmacists can & will 'prescribe' to you as they are very well trained so don't worry about seeing a doctor if you know the drugs you need!).
The main pool is larger but noisy during the day with aqua aerobics etc and music in the evening, the 2nd pool is very quiet however!
Staff are knowledgable, friendly and efficient, cleaners come in daily and leave the place spotless!
It's situated just off the main Paphos- tombs of the kings road and easily found, there's a pizza hut, large mcdonalds (with wifi) and several quality restaurants within very easy strolling distance.
The Italian Buona Sera is highly reccomended!

It's worth buying suntan lotion and aftersun, blister plasters in the UK though as they are 2 or 3 times the price over there!
Tombs of the Kings and The mosaics and roman villas at Kato Paphos are a must -take a hat and water though it was 32 degrees in October!

Great hotel, you'd have to be ridiculously fussy or just looking to criticise to find fault!

Room Tip: If you prefer to be quiet ensure you email them and ask for rooms around the 2nd pool, ours was 821...

We have just returned from 3 weeks at the Damon and thouroughly enjoyed them. This is our 3rd visit, this time with my sister and her hubby, previously with our 15 year old grand daughter and the hotel was a hit with all of them. The rooms are spotless, with maid service daily and as I have mobility problems found that the hotel was great having ramps for my wheelchair. It is great for getting out and about with a bus stop more or less at the door making it ideal for getting out and about. Plenty of bars, resteraunts and cafes close by. Will return next year - can't wait.

We stayed at this hotel for a week whilst attending my stepson's wedding in Paphos. I agree with most of the positive reviews on here - the apartments are spotless, well-located and offer good value for money. Breakfast is reasonably good with plenty of choice although the same every day - we ended up going to other places just for a bit of variety. The staff are lovely and can't do enough to help you, whatever you're needs may be. We ate at the weekly BBQ night at the hotel which was very good and had one lunch which was also of a very good standard. Outside and just along the Tomb of the Kings Road in either direction are an abundance of places to eat - we found the San Marino for traditional Greek fayre great value and the food at Big Mamas was excellent as was the entertainment!

we stayed at Kefalos Damon Hotel & Appts from 12-26 September and like a vast majority of reviewers found the hotel to be spotlessly clean, comfortable and in a great location to explore the paphos region - a real gem that can be recommended to anyone.Damon is a modern Hotel that sits at the junction of Tombs of the Kings Road [very busy coastal road] and a minor side road where the Hotel entrance is situated , we had room 115 Block A which overlooked the Entrance & side road - not at all noisy and great to be nosey and watch the to & fro of local life , rooms overlooking the Tombs Road however would be a nightmare as the main road is very busy , the other rooms are arranged around the pool so i suppose they are the better ones to aim for . Public areas are bright , airy and kept spotlessly clean there is a Breakfast serving area with indoor and outdoor seating areas, breakfast includes cooked [streaky bacon],toast.boiled eggs.cereals, cold meats, fruit with bottomless tea, coffee & friut juice, the only thing missing was an 'Egg Chef' serving fried, poached eggs & omelettes etc.The Lounge was big and comfortable but unfortunately no indoor bar area. Two pools the larger main pool from 1.2 to 2.0m deep with a small toddlers pool alongside - a smaller quieter pool is nearby - both have ample sun beds/umbrellars,availability was never a problem, sunbeds had no matresses and no towels were provided.A Poolside bar served alcoholic /non-alcoholic drinks, snacks all day,the Supermarket on site was well stocked but pricey,a good big supermarket can be found by turning right out of the main entrance and walking straight up the side road road for approx 100 metres.Rooms are spacious to say the least [we had 1 bed appt] big bedroom - comfy beds :) :) :)[with hairdryers for the ladies],fully fitted kitchen with full oven [electric not gas as stated in brochure],toaster etc etc Kitchen table,Lounge had 2 sofas coffee table and T.V.Bathroom was modern, spotless with whb,wc and bath with power shower over - bags of hot water :) towels are changed daily, bed linen twice weekly [i think] a safe is provided but the key costs E1.80/day at reception,a refundable deposit is required for the T.V remote control.Reception is manned 24/7 the staff [esp Sophia] are great and always willing to help.Damon stands on the Tombs of the Kings Road which runs from the Harbour [bus terminus] 1.7km away [20 min walk] all the way up the coastal road to Coral/Corallia Bays a total distance of 14km - full of bars/restaurants at the harbour end and numerous hotels at the top end - this is bus route 615 and runs every
few minutes for a fare of ONE EURO !!! flat rate - one way - full day rover pass cost E3,Paphos town is 20 min walk tho side streets but easy way is catch 615 bus to the Harbour [terminus] and then the 610 to Paphos town , all for E2 !! simples !! buses are modern but are very popular, they get packed !!! bus stop is literally outside the hotel.Loads of bars/restaurants on the Tombs Road all within yards of the hotel everyone has their own favourites ours was King Zorbar,E14 for 3 course menu including 1/2l carafe of village wine, great food, great price, cypriot dancers on Tues,Friday, run by Mother/Father/sons for past 20 years - but they close for the season at the end of Sept :( as mentioned before Sisyfos is also good.Moulia a few yards down the road serves "the best fish/chips/mushy peas in the world".the Harbour is packed with bars/restaurants but as others have mentioned a lot [a lot] are run by East Europeans/Russians.a Chinese/Tai restaurant is next door - that's not run by Chinese either !
nearest beach to Domon is Kefalos Beach Village [sister Hotel] about 500m away where you can use their faciities if you wish its twice the size of Damon [250 rooms against 120] has big grounds but no beach to speak of,a rocky/sandy strip, hopeless for swimming.best beaches are Corallia Bay [last stop on 615 bus] and Coral Bay [last but one stop on 615] both have good sandy beaches, cafe, sunloungers with cushiones [2 loungers + umbrellar E7.5 in Coral Bay E6 in Corallia Bay] Corallia Bay was our favourite.
a few other points
electric plugs are U.K pattern 13A 3 pin,no need for adaptors.
Thomson trips are expensive , ask at reception for S&A Coaches trips,we found them great must do trips are Kykkos and Farmagusta [Turkish held part - you need passports !!]
Exchange rate: 2.19 E/£ at home bank : 2.15 at hotel reception : 2.22 in the harbour.
Damon Hotel & Appts hugely exceeded our expectations [we always base our holiday selection based on Trip Advisor reviews] its spotlessly clean, spacious, modern, well run and in a great location to explore the Paphos region - no frills but fantastic value - it fully deserves its popularity.

Room Tip: rooms on Tombs Road are very noisy,on side road[Hotel Entrance] are ok rooms around the pool are pr...

Stayed in September (15th-22nd). The apartment was very spacious and clean and had a lovely view of the pool area. The staff were all very helpful at reception and at the bar and breakfast. The breakfast was very good and plenty of it. The location is great for going into Paphos and Coral Bay. There is a bus that runs from just outside the hotel No.615 which goes to the harbour or if you walk across the road it goes to Coral Bay. There are loads of eating places nearby too. The supermarket on site is also very handy too and the prices are good. We will be coming back!!!

Just returned from 10 day stay, travelled Sept 16 with Thomson. And ten sleepless nights!!! The beds are appalling! Single pine beds with plyboard covering the base and mattresses with no support whatsoever. Apart from that the apartments are basic but well kept, maids/reception staff very efficient and friendly. Decent value for money budget holiday, rooms overlooking main pool better option, stayed in room 512.

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at this Hotel (8th-22nd Sept) We were given room 722 in block F which had an awful view so we asked if we could move, this room was above the Supermarket. The reception staff could not have been more helpful although we had to wait for 3 days we were given room 414 in block D overlooking the pool, this was a great 1 bedroom apartment. The pool area of the hotel was really good, always plenty of sunbeds and very clean and the pool was like getting into a tepid bath. We only had breakfast in the hotel once and found it very average, try Tramps on the main road, a HUGE breakfast, with chips, for 4.80 euros with unlimted tea and coffee. We went to the sister hotel, Kefalos Beach, a few times but the beach was a real let down, no beach to speak off and you needed to be a good swimmer to brave the sea there. We spent one evening in the hotel for one of their theme nights with entertainement which was not too bad. We ate out mostnights in the area around the hotel, the Sisyfos was great value for money (16 euros for 3 courses) and very good food, The Raffles also offered a set menu for the same price and was also very good, they also do great fish dishes. The Chinese restaurant next to the Damon, Phukhet Chinese & Thai was not the best food I've ever had and the service was a bit slow but it was ok. Most evenings found us in the Queen Vic Pub (across the lights and behind The Raffles Restaurant) this is a family run bar, dad Gary, mum Tina and 4 sons all from Essex, very friendly place, even better as they offer buy one get one free on local spirits, beer and wine on Fri, Sat and Sun nights. We found the staff at the Damon, especially Mariella on Reception, Linda at the Pool Bar and Lore who did the entertainment to be really fantastic. Mariella recommended the beach at Corallia Beach and this was far better than Coral Bay, take the bus (no. 615) from opposit the hotel and stay on to the end of the line, 1 euro each, fantastic value although when busy you feel like a sardine, the drivers do not seem to know when to stop taking people on board. This bus also runs to the harbour area has a great atmosphere and some good restaurants. When getting off the bus at the end of the line go to the right for the harbour area. There is a great supermarket in this area if you go left and follow the road round past Debenhams. All in all we had a great time at the Damon and would reccommend this hotel

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are best as other rooms seem to look out over the road and backs of shops
