“A Very Enjoyable Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

A very enjoyable experience. Only 1.30 euros admission. A lovely sunny day to stroll round the extensive grounds. To see the tombs and go down into some of them. Some plain some very ornate depending on the status of the person. Well worth a visit.

“More Than A hHole In The Ground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

The Tombs of the Kings is a misnomer, there were no kings, these are the tombs of the rich and influential, probably called the tombs of the kings because of the grandeur of the construction.
The site is situated between the beach path and the main road about 3 km from Paphos marina. It is a large site and although the main walkway through the site is a good surface, the access to the tombs is very dusty and quite rocky in parts, so trainers rather than sandals are appropriate footwear. There are about 8 sets of tombs excavated, each one numbered, and many are readily accessible. The steps, columns and portals are in remarkably good condition so there is much to see. Tombs 3 and 4 are quite extensive and are particularly interesting.
All in all a very enjoyable experience, but be warned it can get very hot and there is little or no shade. The only facilities are at the entrance/exit and this is the only point on the site at which a drink can be purchased, so come prepared.

“History at your feet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Another amazing site near paphos. At the moment due to roadworks the entrance is hard to find. The site is amazing. Children get free entrance. Then feel free to explore this enormous site. Climb clamber and delve into the vast tombs. Lots of fun and dripping history.
Loved it.

“Huge Archeological Site”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Just along the Tombs of the Kings Road, this site is just a couple of Euro's to get in and good value for a couple of hours wandering around if you're at all interested in Cypriot history. By the way, they're not tombs of Kings despite the name, just important and wealthy Paphos residents from the distant past.
