“Wonderful impression of the hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Wonderful impression of the hotel, rest was all I could, but really 7 days were not enough time;))Our holiday was not without some small problems, for example, on the second day had to ask for a plumber as our toilet would not take down the water. One man came and he did not speak much but our toilet was working after 20 minutes when we said to reception. An ok beach very close accross the road. Good drinks at the bar in the day, even better in the night. We had a room overlooking the pool, and with closed windows, we were suprised to be free of noise. Large selection of dishes, I liked the breakfast, very big choice but always the same. Generally the largest selection of dishes was for dinner. If we decide to vacation again in Cyprus, it is quite possible that in Avlida we will stay.)

We came there with a our child of 5 years old at the Avlida Hotel. Well suited for children and families. Lots of space and the children have a beautiful grounds, great pool. Almost every day our child was kept in the kids club and the girls there Masha and Inna made her busy and learned some interesting things and games. She misses them still and askes often to go see them in Cyprus. Also must say about the live entertainment, dance shows karaoke bingo fakir show for adults and childrens at the beggining, there is even a castle for bouncing for the children which she loved! Adequate food, but we were not usued to the buffet style of service especially when seeing some of our countrymen behaving like they thought the food was going to finish and not be changed enough. However this is not the fault of the hotel. Many thanks you to all the girls working in Avlida, Krasimira, Diana, Nadia, Ricka, Tais, Polina, Luba, Katerina, Masha, Inna, Korina, Linda and sorry if I forget some names but they were all excellent!

Staff at reception were pleasant & efficient. The lifts were too small. Our room was not in a good state of repair. The door to the balcony would not lock, therefore we felt unsafe. We reported this within 2 hours but nothing changed. The toilet seat was split in the middle and this was changed very soon after we reported it, The room needed repainting, as it appeared that it several colours on the main wall. The carpet was badly stained. there was one pillow per bed. the linen was clean. the rooms were cleaned every day. We had breakfast only. This was ok. Drinks were expensive at the Hotel Bars.

Nice hotel, meets the requirements of 4 stars. We stayed on half-pansion accomodation took breakfast and dinner - we must say that this was a feast dinner, meat, fish, all delicious and abundant, diverse. For lunch, we usually were out of the hotel and stopped in any cafe on the way, always good quality tasting food in all places, Cypriot places always have local meat fish fruit etc and so always all things is fresh. About the hotel we do not have any complaints to make or not very big, a little disappointing that there was a chargable fridge in the room, and we had to pay even for the water. In general have nothing bad to say about the hotel, we are glad to have made this selection.

This was our first time in Cyprus with my husband)) We very much do not regret choosing Avlida Hotel) A good four star! Settled immediately on arrival, we were lucky as they had some rooms and we were on our sweet month, so we got served first. Thank you to all reception girls and escesially Ricka, if we return we hope to see you there! Rooms and hallway always clean, great food, very beautiful in the pool with the bar making a nice atmosphere. Go to the Avlida, you will not regret.

We went on vacation with two other couples. The hotel really gets your moneys worth. Decent service, most of the staff is fluent in Russian, but we could see for the english tourists that this was also not a problem. Special mention must go to the food and the chef Argiris for the tasty food selection, a large choice of fruits, and especially delicious desserts. Clean, quiet, alright hotel.

upon entering the hotel we thought it was nice as we arrived late at night when we went to the reception we were greeted by 2 miserable members of staff who told us there was a snack in our room so we went to the lifts which are tiny and have dirty exposed fans inside and are very small, when we reached our floor and the lift opened we were taken aback by the disgusting smell in the corridor and it look like an old asylum. We then headed down to our room and were disgusted by the state of it, it was very dated there was hair in the bathroom and on my bed sheets (pubic hair) the bath was dirty and the sink was filthy, the toilet seat moved about when sat on it and it was scratched and stained, the grouting was all brown and the bath mat covered in bleach stains. The carpet was a great breeding ground for bugs as it was dated and dirty. The beds were hard and you got 1 very thin pillow and every time i moved in my sleep i awoke my wife as my bed was so noisy i thought it was going to collapse, i could go on and on about the room it was so bad.The food was luke warm at best and not very nice so we ate out, as for the staff the staff they were miserable and always served the Russians first, one time when i went to the bar i was told that i needed to speak Russian. The large pool was always clean but the terrace pools were only cleaned once in the ten days we were there. The terrace floor was smelling of cat urine, it was never cleaned and should have rubbish bins as people were just leaving cups etc, and it was swarming with ants. It says centrally located it is centrally located to nowhere there was no footpaths and you had to walk on the road, you cant get to the beach as there was roadworks that have been there for months. this really was a terrible holiday and would not recommend anyone to go here. on a positive note the fire show was good Alex and Cosmin get out you are worth more than this hotel
