Yes it could do with a lick of paint here & there but you can't fault the effort the staff put in to make sure you have a great time !!
The food was very good but get in there before the Russians. Stavros and his team were excellent & would go out of their way to make sure you were treated like royalty.
The entertainment team ............... Out standing !!!!
If you want to chill out, enjoy great service & entertainment try it, you might enjoy it !!

Room Tip: Get a sea view the sunset is excellent

We got back a week ago from Eleni, and would go back without question. Checked in, went and dropped bags at room, which was large for just 2 people. Yes we had the odd ant at night on the floor (this is a warm climate, you are bound to get this) but it was very good for the amount of time you spend in it. Went to bar at past midnight, Chris welcomed us with a welcome beer, and told us all we needed to know. You can always get loungers around the pools what ever time of day you go. They were clean and large. Yes there are a lot more Russians than English, and they did get loud. The animators werent great, but they tried. Some of the shows were good. You walk to the top of the road and there are 2 bus stops to go either way. I.50euro each was a bargin, you could go anywhere. The harbour is lovely with plenty of bars and restaurants. Coral bay just 10 mins away, fab beach and lots to do. The hotel looks a little old, but from what we heard, they are doing some bits over the winter. The bar staff were fantastic, Theo was helpful and funny. We had the best holiday, doing what we wanted to do. Spent many happy hours around the pool with a beer and a book. And more exploring on quads. If you go into the mountains there is a little restaurant on the top, which does the best Pork I have ever had! Overall very good

Just returned from a week all inclusive at the Eleni holiday village, first impression was the miserable and unhelpful receptionist. We we're pointed down to our room and told towards the beach. Room was ok but very dated and in desperate need of a make over. To be fair our room was one with an amazing sea view and sunset to remember. From our balcony we also overlooked a side road which ran along side the hotel that had a bench that attracted local youths who used it as a drinking spot. There was no wall or fence enclosing the hotel grounds which left it wide open for anyone to stroll about the place. Food was poor!! I will eat anything but found the same poor standard of food and lack of choice a let down. Bar staff and a select few waiter/waitresses were very helpful and nice. One night we were served our wine in a tumbler and told there were no wine glasses!! The hotel was not even busy! The Russians were rude, loud and everywhere you turn. They were paying for one meal and hotel staff were giving them takeaway trays to fill to the brim for the rest of the family back in the room!! Entertainment was poor to say the least. There was a fire show one night and the man burnt himself a lot! Would not return to this place which is a shame as with a bit of tlc it could be fantastic!!!

My husband and I Just returned from the Eleni after a 9 day stay, (5 days too long). This was our second time to this resort, the first being when it opened, which was full of hiccups, electricity going out, terrible entertainment and poor food choices at the restaurant, however after reading some of the reveiws on here this year was looking forward to seeing how much the Eleni had improved. It really has not changed. We went all inclusive but ate out most of the time, the restaurant was marginally the same each evening, as a vegetarian I never want to see another cucumber or tomato in my life. Not a slice of Haloumi to be found anywhere and for breakfast the queue for the toast took most of breakfast time. The toasters really need to be replaced. A Slice of melon would of been a nice change from the miserable apples, chunks of grapefruit and tinned mixed fruit salad. The hotel needs a complete refurb. Cleanliness... our balcony was swept once in the nine days. The swimming pool also was cleaned thoroughly once in the nine days, and found it quite unbelievable that the poolside was cleaned with the same water we were swimming in, watched the cleaners dip their buckets in and throw round the loungers. The entertainment was appalling, the same thing everynight, childrens disco and singing mostly in another language and then bingo. all in the bar area so could not escape it. We had a pool facing room this was one of the highlites and that of the sunset, which was stunning. The worst part of the holiday was the Russians, greedy, rude, loud and drunk. Paying for one meal and taking enough for the rest of the family and day. Nothing was done about this, yet I watched the bar man question a group of people (all inclusive) who were taking drinks to the bar area to make sure they were not giving any away. On a positive note, short walk to the bus stop and not far from Coral Bay or Harbour. If using the taxi service just up from hotel, agree a price before you take a ride, it varies enormously. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody especially those with young children, not enough for them to do. We travel to Cyprus every year and would never return here.

Room Tip: Definately need a pool facing room or facing the Sea, not that you can see it unless you are on a hi...

Just returned from Eleni, don't know why anybody would return here. The room was shabby and the terrace seemed to be unfinished, anybody could wonder in from the road. The cleaners did their best but the place was overrun with ants and shabby looking cats roamed freely in the outside dining area. Mainly Russians who were rude but on a par with the the reception staff who never cracked a smile and in our experience very unwilling to help with anything. The food was very bland and the entertainment basic.
Paphos itself is a lovely place just don't stay at the Eleni!

Room Tip: Don't go!

My girlfriend and I went to the Eleni Holiday Village for a week, all inclusive. If you looking for sun, sea and relaxation then this is it. Being honest the rooms are a bit tired but overall not much to complain about. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative is that there isn't that much to do in the local area but if you looking to mostly sit by the pool read a book and every so often go out to Paphos town then its perfect. A big plus is the size of hotel, we found no problem in getting a sun lounger or being served for food or drink. A little heads up that the food is much nicer at the snack bar but otherwise in the main restaurant it is ok but slightly similar between meals. The location is great being half way between a Coral bay and Paphos town with a cheap and regular bus to either . Would I go back? Yes :)
