“Magical Mayfair”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

First stayed at the Mayfair in 2003. We have since returned 3 times, our latest stay being for 3 weeks in June 2012. The hotel is basic but very clean, the rooms are equipped with everything you need. The general areas of the hotel are spotless as are the pool areas. The food is excellent, with a wide variety of different dishes available every night, to cater for everyone. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and willing to help, especially Amir in the restaurant, who did everything he could to make sure we had a great stay. Overall the Mayfair is a great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to return in July!!!!!

Me and my family, have been visiting Cyprus for the last 10 years and out of those 10 years we have visited the Mayfair Hotel 9 times. Your holiday is what you make it, and we find that this hotel prefect in every way. The staff are always amazing and George on reception always remembers us, and it like returning back to our second home. The staff will go out of there way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The cleaners work hard everyday (apart from Sundays) and the rooms are always clean to a very good standard. Me and my family are returning again this year and we can't wait to see our second home again. The hotel is in an ideal location from the old part of Paphos and the harbour. It's very quiet and relaxing. It take around 15 minutes to work to the harbour or you can just catch the bus from outside the hotel. The hotel has lovely gardens and the pools are fantastic. You get what you pay for and if the hotel continues to serve me and my family at the high standard that we have received so far. We will defo be returning. The only down side is the holiday just isn't long enough.

We Spent 2 weeks all inclusive stay for my wedding, was apprehensive due to report's but the 19 of us all had a great stay Demetris was amazing and made sure everything was up to standard all through our stay and even more so on our wedding day.Yes There are areas and rooms they need to be tidied up (busy working hotel = time to do )but with a bit of work and positive feedback could easily reach a 4 star rating.... Keep it up ! Laura on the pool bar really brightened everyones day, after the 2nd day she knew me and my Drink was ready before I even reached the bar. All the staff at the Mayfair work really hard and for the hours they work still manage a smile. Reception staff needs some work along with the check in system, I was lucky I had email communication with management before check-in as my surprise upgrade was given to another couple, and if it wasn’t for my print out of my emails I think I could of lost my up-grade to some couple who wasn’t even on the check-in list??? and 2 of our party didn't even have a room or exist to reception...(but thanks to Demetris again all sorted).
Well Food = OMG if you want to you could eat almost 16 hours a day and ok some meals are better than some but hay we all have our own taste, all I can say is the food was plentiful and I enjoyed every meal.
Entertainment = All run by Melanie, and even though she is not there every night she really has a team to be proud of, Claire and Adam are the main Entertainment team and by god they work hard and that hard work pays of as we have all made friends for life with them all. and they have really made the Wedding/Holiday Amazing. Thanks all xxx Saying that they did make us do our first dance again after the wedding but i'll let that go this once as they did help all day to make sure the day was amazing for us...

Even though we still close I do go into tripadvisor and read peoples reviews, which are all appreciated and taken into consideration. Therefore I will like to thank you all vary much for your good comments and I sure Demetris will be very happy to see your review when he will be back at work! Best Wishes from all us here at the Mayfair.

We had a great holiday here.

Rooms were massive but had dated interior although the bathrooms were very modern. Apparently the hotel is not dated like that but the apartment blocks are - they are separate blocks.

We complained to reception about our room because it faced into the side of another building and looking down the view was dirt car park and bins.

We got moved across the corridor and the difference was a pool view but the room was similar. I have to say although it was dated that the room was a good size with air conditioning and a carpet - ample storage for clothes etc. It had a proper big DOUBLE BED! not two pushed together.

The pool was excellent for my 4 year old and she spent most of her days in there. There is astroturf all around the edges of the pool to stop kids sliding or hurting their feet.

The best point about this hotel was the food. Absolutely outstanding! This is like a proper restaurant and the standard of food is out of this world for being and All inclusive holiday.

I would definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view....if you are in the apartments. I believe the actual hotel block itself is nice...

I thought this was a really nice hotel. It isn't in the best location being in a slightly more industrial part of the town and about a 15 minute walk to the harbour area. But it is very good value. I was upgraded to a suite which was very spacious and always kept clean. It was basic but comfortable, had hot showers, and was well equipped. There is a nice pool area outside and a decent bar. I had half board and the food was surprisingly varied and good. There is an awful lot to see and do around Paphos - and Cyprus more widely. Loads of ancient sites, pretty views and walks etc. Overall a very nice and relaxing holiday.

I went in may 2012 as my father is Cypriot and I've lived in paphos I knew where I wanted to be near. This location and hotel was perfect for what I wanted …an excellent location and wonderful staff. The drinks were cheap enough as I was self catering I wanted to eat out every day so I can't comment on their food. I've booked to go again same place same time of year with my husband all inclusive this time and looking forward to the experience. The pools were big and the area and room was clean. Can't fault it

I visited the Mayfair during half term in October. I went with a friend on a suny get away from it all last minute holiday. We arrived at around 11.30 in the evening and the bar was still open and quite busy. We stayed in room 226. It had a separate bedroom, which had its own door onto the balcony which was very usfeul because it meant that we didn't disturb each other if we wanted to sit out on the balcony. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle etc. in the kitchen area, though we only used the fridge to store water as we were all inclusive. The main room also had a TV. There was air conditioning in both rooms. Thankfully there were lifts to all floors, though we only used these on arriving and leaving with our cases. The apartment was spotless, and the cleaners came in every day to clean and make the beds. Even though it was the end of the season there was an excellent selection of food for all meals. Everything was served buffet style, but that was not a problem, as you could mix and match what you wanted to try. They had themed evenings, Italian, Greek, International etc, so you could try out a variety of new foods and there was also a very well stocked salad bar too. On the all inclusive package, all your drinks were free until midnight. This was great, as you didn't have to worry about carrying money around with you. There are 2 large pools and 2 childrens pools, both with lots of sunbeds and parasols, so there was never a problem getting a bed. The entertainment staff were brilliant, they ran activities for the children in the day (snd any adults that wanted to join in too), and then a selection of different things for the evening entertainment, including bingo, quizzes, shows etc. Claire and Sarah were at the hotel full time, and for the show in the evening, other members of the team came to put on the shows. These were excellent, with brilliant singing and dancing. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
We were about a 15 minute walk from the harbour with its abundance of shops and restaurants, though you could get a bus, which stopped at the end of the road, and cost 1 euro for a journey. If you wanted a good night out we were also on a short distance from Bar Street, which needs no explanations. On a Monday night, one of the pubs has Peter Andre's brother singing. Paphos market was also a short bus ride away. The views from the bus stop were fantastic as it was atthe top of a hill. There are a wide selection of stalls in the market, where you can buy leather goods, clothes, gifts etc. I spent lots of money here.
All in all a very friendly, clean and enjoyable hotel. I would happily go there again.
