“BIG THANK YOU”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

Returned this morning from The King Jason, Paphos. Would like to say a big thank you to all staff for making our holiday so wonderful. The quality of the hotel is as everyone say, clean, very well managed and very helpful. The service is excellent and the food, oh my! be prepared to put weight on. The hotel is in excellent place as the harbour is easily accessed and so is the old town, this is my own personal opinion, just ENJOY, the hotel and the people themselves. Morris Family

I stayed at the King Jason in June as part of a party of 12 and I can honestly say it is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.

Staff - every single member of staff is friendly and approachable and would go the extra mile for all the guests, I particularly liked the fact that our favourite barman Robert remembered our room number which really added that personal touch. Andreas and Maria were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much, they even set a table aside for all 12 of us every evening!

Food - what can I say that other people haven't already said? I never had a bad meal in the 2 weeks we were there, the selection was amazing and the quality was second to none.

Facilities- The pool areas are spotless and there really is something for everyone, the Elegencia pool was so peaceful and is a perfect sun trap. The bedrooms are spotless and fully equipped and having nosed around our fellow guests rooms I can confirm that they are all to this standard!

All in all this was an amazing holiday and it really was made so special by all the staff at The King Jason, I can't wait to come back!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view, there is nothing nicer than enjoying a glass of beer/wine on the balcony at nig...

We stayed at The King Jason late July for 10 days, and must say that it was perfect! From the moment we arrived at the hotel, until the moment we left, we felt spoilt. We want to say a big thank you to Andreas and Maria who were there most of the time making sure every one was ok. The rooms were cleaned every day and were always spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. All staff were brilliant, (especially Pepper!) and waited on us hand and foot. The food was always presented well and there was a wide variety to try. We enjoyed the company of the cats also who were quite tame and didn't bother us. We will definitely be returning to this excellent hotel. Thank you all very much for making our time here relaxing and wonderful.

We had a short stay in this hotel during late July. The hotel is impressive, we had a very large room which was very clean. The pool area was very nice and we really liked the Hydro pool area.

Breakfast was excellent, good food in nice surroundings.

We were particularly impressed with the staff especially the English guy who managed the restaurant, his service was impeccable.

Appreciated the late check out too, midday very nice!

The hotel is still developing facilities which is good to see, the new Elegancia pool is very upmarket a nice place to relax away from the kids.

Recommended.

We have just returned from an 11 night holiday at The King Jason; two adults and two children aged 17 and 12 years on the All Inclusive basis. Everything positive has already been said about this hotel: from the spotlessly clean rooms to the fabulous food at every mealtime, to the attentive staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Our room overlooked the main pool, it was cleaned daily to a very high standard, in fact the whole hotel complex was kept immaculate.

The food at mealtimes was varied each day with plenty of choice and the chefs were always bringing more out, should anything run a little low. There was a different meal theme each evening always with plenty of choice. We couldn't understand why some guests were sometimes specifically ordering chicken nuggets when there was so much different food on offer to try! Our only gripe with the restaurant (well the guests really) was that some guests could have dressed a bit more appropriately at meal times - we didn't really want to see men with no tops on in the restaurant when we were eating lunch!

Soft drinks were branded and the beer and wine more than acceptable. In fact, the beer was really quite tasty.

What really is a bonus at this hotel is the helpfulness of ALL the staff. The waitresses and waiters are so polite and friendly and you see some of them working all the meal shifts and then you can see them popping round the pool taking drinks orders! Really hard working young people. Andreas and Maria seem to have found a good formula for running the hotel and they treat the guests like old friends. It is easy to see why The King Jason has return guests year after year.

There is a choice of pools for everyone. Again the pool areas are immaculate apart from the plastic cups which some guests cant be bothered returning to the bar. There are cats around the complex, but these are harmless and don't bother you at all. There are showers available at the poolside, we used them before and after using the pool, unfortunately not everyone did. The 'bed reserving with towels' situation was getting earlier and earlier during the course of our holiday, which is fair enough if you are using the pool area all day, but some families were reserving beds then just arriving at them in the afternoon which wasn't really fair. There is no animation team or planned entertainment at this hotel, which we actually found quite refreshing and chilled.

The hotel itself is located in a residential area which is a short ten minute walk into Paphos itself. At the times we went into Paphos in the evenings, some of the bars and restaurants which we passed on the walk down to the harbour can be quiet, I believe they only fill up later on in the evenings. There are quite a few vacant bar units also, which sadly we thought was partly due to the growing rise of All Inclusive option hotels. Paphos itself is similar to many resort centres, a mixture of decent shops and 'tat' shops with a KFC thrown in. Saying that though, it is lively and pleasant and makes for a good walk to walk off your evening meal.

To sum up, this is a great little quality hotel and well worth holidaying at. The staff are brilliant and deserve a special mention. Should we return to Cyprus, this is definitely one we would stay at again.

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you for this valuable review after visiting the King Jason.

It is lovely to know that our cordial and attentive staff along with the fabulous cuisine, immaculate premises and pools have been to your utmost liking. Nevertheless we are sorry to hear that you found the attire of some guests disturbing and inappropriate; rest assured that we will try and have a polite word where necessary! In spite of this, we are glad that you had a great holiday with us and will definitely return one day.

We greatly look forward to your next visit at the King Jason.

Faithfully yours,

The Management.

Just got back from the King Jason a few days ago and had a fantastic holiday. We travelled as a couple, though had made the journey to attend a family wedding. Nothing much else to add to previous recent reviews, the comments about the high standard of the rooms, food, facilities and the rest is exactly what we would have said anyway. Just want to say a big thanks to Andreas, Maria and all the waiting staff. They are constantly on the go, working long days, though always have the time to stop and speak and remember you as well. They are all a credit to this great hotel. Our weather was superb, though as expected being the hottest part of the summer in Cyprus. Good bars - Pit Stop, Friends, George & Dragon, O'Neills and Robin Hood, though everyone will have their favorites. Only ate out once (apart from the wedding reception), at Fat Mamas on Tomb of the Kings Road, huge American-style portions, worth a try. Tomb of the Kings is worth a look, as is the collection of sites near the harbour (inc an amphitheatre) and the Ayia Kyriaki Church with St Pauls Pillar. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Room 26 (ours) has a balcony overlooking the pool, as do 25 and 28.

Well what an amazing place!
11 of us arrived at the King Jason late on the 30th July, all tired from our delayed flight. We were greeted by lovely staff who offered us drinks and lovely biscuits on arrival. Our rooms were sorted promptly and our cases were taken to our rooms for us! Immediately the impression was "nothing is to much trouble".
Our room was lovely and spacious. We had 3 separate rooms given that there were 11 of us. (Travelled with extended family - mum, dad, brother, sister in law, two nieces, myself, husband and our 3 kids!). The room had a separate bedroom, a kitchen area .... a fridge (which was extremely handy to put water in!) - 'cos you don't usually get a fridge on an all inclusive holiday! and a TV and balcony. The room was fully air conditioned too.
There were 5 pools! 1. A large outdoor pool for adults and kids to swim and play in with balls, floats etc.
2. A small children's pool ideal for little ones.
3. A hydro pool with jacuzzis
4. An adult only pool in a totally separate area which was fab!
5. An indoor pool which was very cold, ideal if you want a cool off!
They had a gym area and a sauna, if you wanted to use them on holiday!!
There was no evening entertainment but we didn't miss it, even the kids aged 17, 11, 10, 9 and 3 didn't miss it! Sitting in the lobby playing cards, chatting or using wifi was fine. We had walks to the harbour and went to the main strip one night too.
We went all inclusive. We've never done this before - it's always been either half board or self catering for us. We were all glad we did choose All inclusive though 'cos the food was really lovely. It was always fresh and beautifully prepared by the chefs at every mealtime. A huge variety of food was always available but if you have a fussy child or just simply want nuggets and chips etc then staff would happily arrange this. They would do anything you want - so kind.
Be prepared to put on the
weight!! The food is delicious! Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meal. Plus canapés at poolside in the afternoon!
All the staff are amazing, generous, thoughtful, courteous and professional. They are all great with the kids too.
A huge thank you to Maria & Andreas and all their staff for providing us with a wonderful holiday. We had an amazing two weeks and will return one day for sure.
Also not forgetting our lovely holiday rep Heather Smith! She was fab!
Highly recommend this hotel. XX
