Stayed at king Jason for two weeks,I booked this hotel in october2012 when I arrived I was very disappointed to be put into one of the older buildings which was very tired and dated and also not as clean as it should have been. After day 4 I decided to speak to Andreas the hotel manager about my concerns about our room he immediately resolved the situation and moved to a new room in the newly built apartments without any fuss.. Although as stated here on numerous reviews the staff, Andres, food, contact pool, all exemplary plusses I genuinely felt this hotel was lacking in any sort of vibrancy here are some of the issues I feel these apartments need to address. 1}. Entertainment once weekly on a Friday evening when a couple bring along a computer and an organ and sing some song for a couple of hours surely that's not what if should expect from pathos no 1 hotel. 2} games area ie two table tennis tables, dirty worn pool table ,and an air hockey machine which were situated just next to the laundry room in an area which was absolutely filthy and had two manky chairs that looked as if they had come from some gypsies caravan. 3} Television channels in rooms 5 channels no dedicated news channel no euro sport no music channel so when you went back to your room all you could really watch in reality was CNN. 4} Finally there was only one small bar for all guests to use which was a shame as when you were at the contact pool for instance it became very tiresome traipsing up and down the length of the place just to get a drink I don't think anyone even the five star reviewers would argue that this place needs another bar between the pool areas.
New block is much nicer but seemingly according to Andreas 25% more expensive than I paid for my t...

We would like to thank you for choosing the King Jason as your holiday destination in Paphos.
First and foremost, we are happy to hear that the issue with your room was quickly resolved to your satisfaction and that you were impressed with the ease in which it was handled. Moreover, we are delighted to hear that you are in agreement with all previous reviews about our excellent cuisine, the lovely service of our staff and our spectacular hydro pool.
We thank you for some constructive feedback regarding your stay but before we get to that we want to express our disappointment with your review. We are always open to criticism and use it as a platform to improve our services but we do need to protect our reputation as well. We were thus saddened to see that you did not even mention how our Manager Andreas gave you an upgrade to our new studios, when in fact you had actually booked a one bedroom apartment. There is obviously a difference in price which is 100% justified by the modernity of these studios. Even the older ones have been touched upon and in fact there are plans to make further improvements in the future. We cannot believe that there was no mention in your review of our staff's excellent treatment of your wife, who got injured at the beach one day. Everybody did their utmost to respond to her needs in the best way possible and we feel that our staff represented our property as well as our Company in an exceptional manner. You speak about the lack of vibrancy at our hotel, something which leaves us perplexed when in fact every single guest here praises the personal and unique attention they receive from our staff and especially Maria Andreou, Maria Ainsley and our Manager, Andreas.
Onto your comments now...we thank you for voicing your opinion about our evening entertainment and hope for your understanding that we are reluctant to increase its frequency for fear of disturbing the atmosphere of peace and serenity which characterizes our property; in fact we are taking immediate steps to removing the animation altogether because there are far too many hotels in Paphos which offer it. We want to be different and see no reason as to why we should have animation, especially in the summer when the whole of Paphos is buzzing with life. Furthermore, we are surprised to hear your remark about the condition of our facilities and the cleanliness you felt your room was in, as this is not normally a complaint we receive. We will, however, follow up immediately for our improvement. Regarding the play area please be informed that the ping pong tables have been purchased only two months ago and that the couches of which you speak have already been disposed of. As for your comment about the bar, we do understand where you are coming from but please accept that this is not a self service hotel; our aim is to serve every guest at the table, whether All Inclusive or not, and this is why we have staff circulating the grounds at all times taking drinks orders from guests. Consequently, we are not convinced that a second bar is necessary because we want to create a framework of interaction with our guests through our table service. Finally, after your mention of our TV channels, please be aware that we are currently working towards a state of the art pay-as-you-go system which enables the viewing of hundreds of channels and programs from the whole world.
All in all, we are sorry to hear that our hotel did not live up to its esteemed reputation, we nonetheless hope that this will not prevent you from holidaying at one of our other properties which might be more suitable to your needs, especially in regards to the entertainment and self service drink facilities. We still hope that you had a pleasant stay and perhaps we will see you again at one of our Louis Hotels.
