My only negative comment on this hotel was that our room was a little tired as if some older features had been left when they really ought to have been replaced. The bathroom had clearly been refurbished but there were areas where a little extra cleaning could have made all the difference. Don't let this put you off, we spent so little time in our room it really didn't matter too much.
Location: Excellent, right in the middle between the Old Town and the Touristy Harbour area. We found the walk to all the attractions really easy and it wasn't hard to navigate. The hotel is in a quiet residential area so there is no problem with exterior noise.
Hotel: The reception, bar, outdoor and dining areas have clearly been refurbished to a high standard and are always kept clean and tidy by the diligent staff. The shop is ideal and has plenty of the things you would need at reasonable prices. The pool area has plenty of sun beds and the day beds are a lovely addition. Unfortunately is was too cold to use either of the pools but they looked clean and I look forward to trying the hydro contact pool on our next visit. Many drinks were had in the conservatory seating area.
Food & Drink: Plenty of variety in food and drink and all to a high standard. You will come back heavier if you go all inclusive! The themed nights are a great idea as the food stays fresh and different every night. I can't fault the food or the excellent kitchen staff. The staff are always there to top up your drinks and there's a variety available for anyone's tastes.
Staff: All staff are excellent and the service is 5* in my opinion. They are diligent, attentive and cheerful at all times. Even the management take the time to circulate and see how you're getting on.
I can't recommend this hotel enough.
