“Stylish and cosy with a friendly atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Clean, well-run and with a very friendly staff. really good breakfast. The only thing that is not very good is the location. If you have a rental car it is great, but if you don't it's a bit too long to walk to the the beach and downtown. I would definitely book this hotel again :)

Location was pretty good, not seafront so no romantic evening views but well placed in being walking distance to the bars and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet. We stayed in a one bedroom self catering apartment on the ground floor. The apartment was a suitable size clean and comfortable, they had put a cot in the room already for us. The bathroom was clean and modern but only had a shower – no bath.
The kitchen element of the room was entertaining. Clearly the typical visitor does not use the kitchen. There were two hobs which were fine, although limiting us to 2 hobs was a little strange. The oven was brand new and lacking instructions, most importantly that nothing will work unless you put the timer on. This was very frustrating as we actually claimed the oven was faulty, the timer is a great idea as it means that absent minded guests can’t leave the oven on for days but you need to know to use it. I appreciate that knives are dangerous but the kitchen was poorly equipped in that regard (although they brought a second small knife when we asked). The real comedy came with the fact the kitchen has a single socket – for a kettle, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. The socket had a two way adapter which isn’t very safe and the cable for the microwave was too short to reach! Who builds a kitchen with only one socket?! We were promptly provided an additional adapter when we mentioned this, so at least there is a good response to issues.
The service at the hotel was very good and special mention must be made of one Englishman (usually came from the office behind reception) whose name we didn’t catch that was either customer relations or the manager, and whose attitude to issues and service was excellent. When I complained that there was no curtain on a small window in the bedroom, it was addressed within a matter of minutes. As with the oven issue, the King Jason does seem to sort out
We had a table on the small terrace outside the room which was very boxed in by rooms around us but had no gate. A room on a higher floor would have been much nicer, and the balcony wall would have been preferable for our one year old as at least that would hem him in rather than the step we had which led to the pool. which meant we couldn’t leave him to wander without risking him walking off. We had to have the door shut whilst inside and couldn’t use the table without tying him into our portable highchair – I appreciate that hotels can’t cater for all types but this was an unfortunate consequence of the room allocation for us due to our toddler, so if you have one and can manage stairs instead it might be worth asking for a room not on the ground floor. The other irritant about the terrace was that there was no ability to lock the door from the outside, so even though it conveniently led straight to the pool, it wasn’t possible to leave the apartment that way and we always had to walk all the way round instead. That wouldn’t be possible on a higher floor of course, but fitting some locks would give the ground floor apartments an edge.
The pools were very nice and well maintained. The drinks in the bar were ok and the restaurant food looked a reasonable spread but I can’t comment as I never ate there.
There was a little parking out the front and then space on the pavements near by, the majority of guests I think must have arrived by coach and took pre arranged tours to see other places.
The hotel has a little shop which is reasonably well stocked and they also gave directions to other local shops and larger supermarkets for those people crazy enough to want to cook something.
One day we enquired about going to the wonderful 7 st Georges restaurant and the reception staff were very good addressing my query and then going one step further and making the booking for us. Incidentally, 7 St George’s was well worth the short car trip for a fantastic lunchtime mezze.

Room Tip: if you have a small child you can't trust not to run off then a room not on the ground floor wou...

Dear guest,

Many thanks for having chosen to stay at the King Jason Luxury Apartments and for writing about your personal experience at our hotel.

We are very glad that you liked the hotel's quiet location in Paphos and that you found your apartment clean, comfortable and of a suitable size for you and your family. We are also delighted to hear that you appreciated our friendly and efficient staff and that you enjoyed the hotel's charming pool area. We are sorry to hear that you experienced a ground floor apartment as slightly inconvenient for your specific needs. We greatly value your feedback and we will take your words into consideration in our aim to ensure the very highest level of guest satisfaction. Nevertheless we are happy to hear that you still had a relaxing holiday here at King Jason and that you were content with the service you received from all our attentive staff.

Louis Hotels have many hotels in both Cyprus and Greece so perhaps you would find another Louis Hotel more suitable for your needs and preferences. Certainly if you are looking for a more child-friendly property we can suggest the Louis Phaethon Beach. We sincerely hope that we will get the opportunity of welcoming you back to Louis Hotels in the future.

Kind regards

Myself, my husband and 2 teenage kids have just got back from a week in this great hotel. I did choose it from the other great reviews and I am pleased to say all these reviews are right and the staff at the hotel are fantastic, the food was also extremely good so well worth going half board, the rooms are spacious, the pool area and seating area are really comfortable, the sun beds even have a comfy cushion for your head, we met some lovely people, the sun shone the whole time we was there not bad as it was November, so overall we had a lovely time and If you book this hotel I don't think you will be disappointed. It was great value for money and I wouldn't hesitate in going back which by the looks of things their repeat business is massive as the staff seemed to know most of the guests. only negative thing is we wish we was still there :)

We were really looking forward to our week away, after reading positive reviews on here. Well the King Jason lived up to our expectations and more. Lovely big, clean room (85) and the friendly, attentive staff couldn't do enough for us. Sat by the spa pool most days a real sun trap! Great location 5 mins walk away from main bar and restaurant area, 10 mins from the sea, and took us 15 mins to walk up to the old town. If you come across a small little restaurant called Argo in the back streets behind Debenhams pop in ask which is the Kleftiko night, if you like Lamb you wont be disappointed. Enjoy!

Just returned from 8 nights at the King Jason and we had such a fantastic time that I felt compelled to write a review. We've been using Trip Advisor for years but never written a review so it must have been good! Since the moment we arrived we knew we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff greeting us with Cypriot snacks and a cool drink. The hotel is a fabulous quiet hotel perfect for couples or families with either very small children or teenagers. Both pool areas are lovely and we spent most of our days relaxing by the new hydro pool (which was a little bit quieter). We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and have to say the choice at breakfast was great and the food was delicious. We often ate at the hotel at lunchtime (again delicious) but in the evenings we made the short walk into the harbour area for dinner. Being a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the harbour area was just perfect for us - the walk is only about 10 mins but feels like a different world from the relaxing atmosphere of the King Jason. All in all this is a gem of a hotel but we have to say the real stars are the staff - they are just fantastic and nothing was ever a problem for them. They are all so friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all. One of the many bonuses was the fact that throughout the day they bring courtesy goodies out to you around the pool - iced hand towels in the morning, small cool drink around lunch and then a sweet treat in the afternoon! It's all these little touches that make the King Jason perfect. We are not ones to go back to places but I really think we may be visiting Andreas and his staff again in the not to distant future. Thanks for a great holiday! Emma and Richard

Our second visit, came last year with the kids and managed to sneak away for 11 nights on our own this year.......

We knew after the refurb it would be even better and it didn't disappoint. The staff are so helpful and attentive nothing is too much trouble. The hydro pool is amazing, a great addition to an already fantastic hotel. Andreas works tirelessly with his team to make sure everything works like clockwork, it's great to see.

We pretty much stayed around the pool during the day having lunch from
the hotel menu on a number of occasions. The food was very good and the service very quick. On an evening we ventured down to the harbour eating in different places every night as there is so much choice.

I am so pleased we have found this hotel now as it could be our forever hotel, somewhere where we can return year after year. We are already planning our return next October in the new deluxe studios!

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone it's amazing.

Until next year x

We stayed at the King Jason for a week from October 14th in an apartment self catering. The hotel is in a quiet residential area but we prefer this to being in the centre. We spent our days relaxing by the hydro pool which was fantastic and walking to Kato Paphos each evening which takes about 15 -20 mins. We ate at a different restaurant each night all were very good. The hospitality and service provided at the King Jason is first class and it is easy to see why people return year after year as the staff go out of their way to make everyone feel special. We hope to return again next year.
