“Pafian Sun ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

Stayed at the Pafian sun in June 2013. We arrived late and were told that there would be food available but all we got was stale bread and cheese, and we were only allowed 2 drinks when we first arrived as the all inclusive didn't start until out first full day! The rooms were dated but spacious. Our room slept 4 but one of the beds was just a mattress on the floor! The interior of the rooms wasn't that good but outside they looked lovely and the area was well landscaped and tidy. The pool area was really good and had a beautiful view of the sea. The entertainment was very good and the team were really friendly. The bar at first seemed a bit miserable but after a few days they got to know your face and were very chatty and got to know what drinks you liked. The biggest fault of the hotel was the food, it was awful! I'm not a fussy eater but some nights I left the dinning room still hungry! Stay away from the al a carte night it's terrible! Everyone we spoke to who had gone to it said it was terrible as well. When you're there take the time to go to the port for a day trip. You can get a bus from outside the hotel to the port. It's beautiful and has loads of nice restaurants and bars.

Me my husband and two boys 5 & 1 stayed here the last week of the season 22nd October for a week all inclusive after arriving at the resort at 10pm we found our room and was delighted to find a cold buffet left out for late arrivers which was much appreciated , although our room was very basic and in somewhat need of upgrading and tlc we decided we would only be sleeping and showering there anyway , the staff on a whole where friendly although the odd ones where a bit off but it was the end of season and we heard on the grapevine that they hadn't been paid in 3 months ,food was fantastic full of choice each night we couldn't fault it so much choice and very tasty ,drinks where very good although limited to one per person unless you where female then the barman would let you have 2/3/4! One let down the pool was freezing !!! And that's with the Cyprus sun belting down on it all day ! The sea was warmer ,bus stop right outside the resort so easy to hop on into paphos and have a walk round the beautiful harbour ,one let down for the area is it's cleanliness it's very littered but on a whole a beautiful place to visit the weather was gorgeous the whole week ,overall for what we got in the all inclusive and the lovely weather at a bargain price I would go again

Stayed here as a little late summer break with my husband and friends. Although hear the end of the season enjoyed what we expected, it was quiet with little entertainment, but it was still a good holiday, plenty of space around the pool durint the day and a lovely walk to the beach. The rooms although spacious and very clean were very dated, however im aware that this complex is undergoing a major refurb for 2014 and think it will be great. The dining room is small and choice of food limited we were there for a week all inclusive and started to get bored with choice of food, bu I think 2 weeks would be a struggle, I do realuse that for safety reasons drinks have to be served in plastic cups, but they are small and flimsy, and would expect this during the day for the pool area, but still served like this at all times, not expected in the evening. Overal enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend, think it will be amaxing when refurbished.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a sea view away from the pool, as quieter and views are stunning.

I went to the pafian sun with my grandparents ,my mum and my sister. I am nearly 17 and I had the best time ever! We arrived at the hotel late at night and there was food available for us when we got there! I met the most amazing people who have now become my closest friends! My sister is now 6,5 at the time. We went in October 2013 and I could not fault the entertainment staff! They worked on their day off to run the kids club. And anyone who stayed there in October should have known that the hotel was nearly shutting down for refurbishment as they were being taken over by another company! The food was lovely could not fault it and at the time of the christening the hotel was nearly empty due to it shutting down. The entertainment during the day poolside and I see the games room was great and had plenty of games getting the adults and children involved. Swimming in the sea was lovely and the pools were just right. You have to expect to queue for drinks as it's all inclusive?! And we didn't mind the plastic cups at all. My whole family enjoyed staying here, I had the holiday of a lifetime and would definitely go back time and time again. I don't think people give this. Hotel the credit it deserves. If you're looking for a family holiday. Here's your place!

Me and my Fiance came here in April 2013 (late review I know!) and we really enjoyed our time. We booked a last minute deal so it cost us £700 total for a week all inclusive, and it was definitely worth the money. The hotel room had air conditioning so we were kept cool whilst it was hot. Rooms are a tad basic but we didn't spend much time there anyway. The choice of drinks in the all inclusive package are great. You can choose from beer, wine, spirits, cocktails etc. much more than some other places. The food was lovely also. There was a wide selection of food available every night at tea time, and some nights were 'themed' (greek, Italian etc.) and for people who are more fussy about what they eat there was always stuff like chips and chicken nuggets available. Drinks are brought to your table when you eat, sometimes a little slow but nothing major. During the day they open the restaurant for dinner too and serve a selection of things which you can eat inside or outside. The only downside really was the desserts weren't amazing. There's a small shop in the hotel which sells things like cigarettes and crisps etc. and it wasn't too expensive either. There are also a few shops within walking distance of the hotel which are slightly cheaper if you fancy stocking up on crisps and chocolate. The swimming pool was great and there is also a little dirt track which leads to a nice little beach/cove type of thing. The entertainment was good, always fun, bingo, shows etc. The only things I'd comment on is that a couple of the pool tables and arcade machines were out of order. Also, there were quite a few children running around which was annoying at times. The only other thing I can think of which was a downside to the holiday is that a couple of the staff were slightly rude. On our final day, we were packing our bags and the maid (who didn't speak great English) was asking if she could come and clean our room but we weren't ready yet....she carried on and kept muttering things under her breath but it didn't really bother us! Also, one night my fiancé got a little bit drunk and was sick outside our apartment, I went to ask reception where to find some bottled water and the barman who happened to be at the reception was basically like 'well it serves you right'. Other than that we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again :)

Room Tip: We chose the standard double room which was the cheapest on onthebeach.com. The couple next to us wh...
