Booked a last minute deal for a week away in the sun, I believe that you get what you pay for, so what we paid would have lead me to believe this hotel was going to be very average & not what we are used to.
I shouldent have worried it was fine, nice clean hotel, with all the things you would expect to find in a 4 star hotel.
Its situated in a great position not to far from the centre of Paphos, and very close to a number of bars & restaurants.
The room was fine, cleaned every day.
The outside pool area was great, clean with loungers for all & a bar which was great as cold drinks is what you will need as it was boiling hot everyday.
The staff were great and very friendly, one lady on reception was wonderfull & very helpful.
The food was ok, evening meal was better then breakfast.
For lunch I would sugest you vist Da Vinci;s just round the corner, really nice place, with great staff and great food.
This is a good hotel, it ticked every box we needed to cover, it's not run down at all it just doesent have the fancy decor that you see in some 4 star hotels, if you are looking for that then the hotel over the road which I think was called the Amethusus has that, but then i guess it will have a price tag to match it.
I would stay here again, but maybe next time just go room only or B&B only because there is so much choice of good restaurants from around the world on the hotels doorstep.

Arrived after a 6 hour delay, reception staff friendly.
Room was clean, had view of mountains, very quiet and got the sun in the morning so could sit on the balcony whilst everyone else got ready.
Cleaner came every day and gave us fresh towels, even observed the "Do not disturb" sign when we slept in.
Nothing wrong with this hotel as far as we were concerned, didn't seem dated to us!
We did not try breakfast, but that is because we sleep in! Altho the last day we had a look and thought "No, it looks disgusting".
Plenty of places nearby to get breakfast tho.
Pleasant walk to beach and into town/harbour.
Just watch out for the scratch card people.....did my head in every day. They approach you all friendly "allright, having a good holiday", they are trying to sell time share......JUST SAY NO THANKS!
Swimming pool was clean, plenty of sunbeds.
All in all we would go back, don't understand why people are saying it is dated, it is a great hotel, clean and an ideal base for Paphos.

Brilliant! Everything was perfect.

We went to the Avanti for a 9 day break,On arrival we were shocked how run down the hotel was. Very dated! We got in to the lift which smelt of food , the mirror on the back was broken and had parcel tape over it and the music was very load?
On arrival to our room we found horrible orange stains all over the carpet,a orange stain on the paintwork in the wardrobe,tiles chipped in the bathroom,sink with a creak ,paint all over the tiles were they had tried to paint the door frame, the patio door did not lock and a screw sort of kept it shut.The air condtioning didnt work very well if at all.We had to sleep with the door open as the room got hotter and hotter when the door was shut This is not a 4 star hotel!!
We asked if we could see another room and this was just the same,everything very dated.
I spoke to the receptionist and she told us that a lot of people had said it was dated and a lot of cyprus 4 star hotels were the same!!
We had to stay one night as we could get moved as we arrived late in the afternoon so we had dinner and breakfast,really wish we had gone out not good,food was cold and tastless and they had to get a cat out of the kitchen?
I would never recomment anyone to go,I'm not sure if the other people who recommend this hotel stayed at the same place!!
The people who worked at the hotel where very nice but it interior needs gutting !!
