“Fantastic Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We spent 10 days here bed & breakfast and its very hard to find fault with anything
We paid a supplement for a pool view which was definitely worth it
The room was quite large and spotless. The maid who cleans the 4th floor is very thorough and friendly
At breakfast there was plenty of choice cereals, fruit, full english, croissants and even pancakes cooked fresh in front of you
We ate in the evening at the hotel once on the world buffet night which was dissapointing, not much choice and very fatty meat but it was cheap. but couldn't recommend half board going by that night
in the welcome pack there is a discount voucher for little eatily just outside avanti village which we would recommend trying as we had a great meal there
The grounds of the hotel are well maintained. Every morning a team of people are scrubbing floors, cleaning every sunbed before everyone heads down
location wise its pretty good only one hotel between it and the sea. the nearest beaches aren't that great but the buses to coral bay is regular and only 3 euro for a day ticket
The walk along the seafront to the harbour is a nice walk but can be dark on the way back. we used the torch on the phone luckily. but you could walk back along the road
There are plenty of nice restaurants around the hotel, ficardo's which is opposite is the best in our opinion
Free WIFI in the lobby is a bonus
The pool bar food is excellent and all handmade there
The entertainment team are very good. getting people up for games in the day but not too pushy like some places and of a night from the bits we saw it looked very good with something different going on every night
The supermarket in the lobby is surprisingly not expensive but only open for a couple of hours a day
I would say this is a 4 star mainly because of the hard work of the staff to keep it looking the way it does

Room Tip: high floor (where you are actually able to see the sea) and a pool view is a must

Lovely hotel.

Modern hotel. WiFi available in the lobby. Small shop open minimal hours (Pricey). Lovely outdoor pool. Plenty of sun lounges. Indoor pool very quiet, as was the gym. Pools open 830-1900. Family orientated but quiet hotel.

Clean rooms with good facilities. Good size. Comfy beds. Good room service. Safe available at a cost of 2 euros per night.

Good selection on buffet breakfast, served 630-10 including continental, cooked, fruit, pancakes and fresh breads. large dining area. good quality food.

Sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi had to be booked 30min before use at a cost of 5 euros, per person, per facility. Pool towels can only be swapped between the hours of 10 and 12. We had gel nails done in the hotel beauty salon at a cost of 40 euros, they cracked the same day. Thomas cook rep was enthusiastic and friendly but a little disorganized and not as informative as she could of been.

Excellent location, 5 min walk from the beach. 4 or 5 excellent restaurants within 5 min walk of hotel. Gabor, the Lodge and Ficardos restaurants highly recommended. Bus stop to harbor just outside hotel.

We would return!!

Upon arrival at the Avanti Hotel, the greeting from Graham on Reception convinced us early on that we had made the right decision in choosing this location.

Our room was very clean and regular visits from the hotel cleaning staff ensured this was the case until we departed.

Quiet and restful evenings, undisturbed by any any traffic noise, were also a bonus.

The large pool area, which was usually very busy, was very clean.

We went B&B for this holiday and the food on offer was quite palatable and always well cooked (in a positive way) and always kept topped up.

No complaints whatsoever about the accommodation, the majority of the staff were always happy to help out with a ready smile. The only slight gripe we had was with the Bar Manager, who, on the few visits we made to the bar, was keen to either short change us or revert to his native tongue (?) to have a laugh at the expense of other customers standing at the bar.

We decided not to use the Hotel bar after that.

Regardless of that, we would strongly recommend to anyone to use this hotel. It is well maintained, clean, nice staff on the whole and there are quite a few bars and restaurants nearby.

A trip to the harbour is only one euro bus ride away or a twenty five minute walk away.

So give it a try and you won't regret your visit.

Room Tip: Room 5097 was facing the front entrance to the hotel but was very quiet, The view wasn't too bad...

A last minute holiday, and our first time in Cyprus. We were very impressed with the island and the people - moreso with the Hotel and staff who catered for our every need in a very helpful and cheerful way. The girls and Graham on Reception couldn't do enough for us and that applied to all the staff. Avery nice touch, we thought, was the Director and his staff coming down to invite us for a "welcoming drink" on our second day at the Hotel -( this does 'nt happen in large corporate run Hotels.)

Once again thank you for ,making our holiday so enjoyable - hopefully we will be back in future. The only suggestion we would like to make is that you use your "Lady Pianist" to play later in the evening (background music) whilst we were having a drink after dinner -perhaps this might save people going out to find other entertainment.

Room Tip: Choose June when there are not so many children out of school - no complaints !!!!

This is our sixth stay at this Excellent hotel.Spacious rooms with good air conditioned and a fridge that works continually!! always kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff. The choice of food is exceptional with friendly helpful staff in every area of the hotel. The pool and its poolside bar again is kept clean and tidy with a fantastic service of good food and drinks by all.
pool towels could be larger!! and a poolside handle both sides into the deep end would help

Room Tip: We prefer a high floor room for view

This was our first stay at the Avanti Hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, light and airy, with a contemporary feel to them. It was nice having air conditioning that was quiet and working in the room. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis and there was a large variety of different foods on offer. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The evening entertainment, starting with the mini-disco, was varied and very enjoyable. The lady, Liz, in the kid's club was easy to talk to and kept the children entertained. We used the pool a couple of times and I had trouble staying on my feet in the children's pool because the tiles were quite slippery, but the pools were very clean. All in all, we had a fabulous time and we would certainly go back there again.

Room Tip: Ask your travel agent to put in a request, we had a room on the 5th floor and heard very little nois...

This is our second time at this hotel and still cannot find a fault.
Fridge in room no charge, kettle in room and tea coffee for first night,no charge. Also we were late arrival sandwiches and fruit bowl and bottle of wine left in room.
Pool towels also no deposit and safety box only 2 euros per night which is reasonable.
Rooms are spotless and spacious ours did overlook a field but is was very quiet no noise at all.
All the staff are friendly and will go that extra mile to help.
Cocktails of the day were only 3.50 euros which we thought was excellent, also if you charge drinks to your room at the end of the week you receive a 15% discount,
This was the first time we had evening meal and it did not disappoint not large choice but was all cooked to perfection and would recommend.I am not large meat eater but tried everything from chicken, duck, lamb, pork,
Never had a problem with obtaining a subbed but there was still the diehards who put towels out early.
Entertainment not our cup of tea and was not what we were used to in Tenerife re great cabaret acts,But there was something every night quiz, singer, dancer etc.
The 611 bust outside the hotel will take you to harbour then the 610 to the market or 615 to Coral beach. All fares 1 euro or a day ticket 3 euros,
Nice little bar round corner called Black rose very cheap to eat and drink,
We will defo go back.
