“wonderful stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

After reading some of the earlier reviews we were a little bit nervous when we arrived. However our apartment (self catering) was beautiful- overlooked the small pool with its own garden and patio. It was well furnished and very clean. The staff were great- the maid had a permanent smile and Anita the waitress at the small pool was so friendly. There are 2 pools- the larger one had activites for children etc and the one we were overlooking was smaller - no fighting over sunbeds, plenty of shade- fantastic! The gardens in the hotel grounds are beautiful, location fantastic- only 5 min walk to the beach and 10- 15 min walk to the harbour along the beach promenade-perfect!!!!!!!

Room Tip: ibiscus block for self catering overlooks small pool- we had 104- fantastic

i have just returned from a 2 week stay at paphos gardens and i can honestly say when we arrived we were in the studios a cross from the reception and i was not happy with the room, we were moved for that night to another then the following morning moved to a room what was lovely over looking the pool, i was so pleased with the help from Andreas he is such a nice man and if he can help you he will put himself out to make your stay a pleseant one, and other the staff were fab they never stop, the hotel its self is clean and the grounds are beautiful. its very close to a beautiful beach and fantastic restraunts shops etc.. befor we went on holiday i read some of the reviews on hear and i can honestly say i was worried, but honestly this is a lovely frendly clean hotel and we will be returning. i would also like to say the lady who cleaned our room every day was lovely and did a great job thank you paphos gardens for making our holiday heavenly x

Where to start!!! This hotel was ok and just ok. Yeah the staff were great and friendly and the hotel was clean etc but the food at the buffet was such a let down. We booked all inclusive through jet 2 and although their description says spirits are not included they actually are included it's local spirits but their fine.

The rooms were basic but ok. The beds were made daily and clean towels were supplied but 3 times our room was missed and we had to ask for towels. The rooms were not actually cleaned at all during the stay and there were rings round the shower gel in the bath and stuff on the sink. They never moved glasses or cleaned cups in my daughters room either so yeah not that impressed with the maid service.

The food! The breakfast buffet was ok and in particular the omelette station was good. The breakfast was probably the best meal of the day and that was not that great. The lunch buffet was awful and I mean awful. Nobody wants a meat and 2 veg lunch every day!! And the food all looked and tasted the same. We had no idea what it was even meant to be most days. The 2 teenagers with us refused to eat anything and after 2 days the management agreed we could use the snack menu for them to choose from. The dinner menu was not much better either. In fact one night it was a carvery and it was really nice and I said so to the guest relation guy. He said yeah it's much better than the usual mush they serve I was speechless. Eventually they started putting out a picture of the animal that was in the food warmers to at least give a clue to what you were eating but it was all over cooked tasteless and dry anyway.

Entertainment was ok Melissa did well at trying to get folk involved.

Would I stay again? no!! and certainly do not think I could recommend to others this hotel tries on so many levels but the big thing folk remember is the food! And it really lets itself down big time. We spent so much money eating out as the food really was not palatable and we honestly are not fussy eaters!!!

The staff were all lovely & helpful throughout the entire stay. We arrived very late at night & the security guy offered to walk us into town to find food which was so kind. The food was delicious with loads of choice & they cooked a seperate dish for my friend due to their dietary requirements. Everything was kept clean/covered in restaurant & the rooms were clean too. We were all inclusive & the range of food & drink was large, including lots of cocktails etc. Was a short walk to beach & bus stop which we used to get to the water park. Nice, quiet & relaxing location. We really enjoyed it & would love to go back as it was such a good holiday !!

Having made an error when booking I was very relieved and grateful at how well the staff dealt with the problem and rectified the situation. Have stayed here several times and all the apartments have been lovely. This time we were upgraded and had our own garden area with sunloungers and a gate leading to the pool area. Just a lovely hotel and a pretty stroll along the seafront brings you to Paphos harbour. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Room Tip: The hibiscus block has access to the quieter of the 2 pools if like us you arent a fan of the inhous...

Firstly reading all the negative reviews of this hotel for 6 months we nearly changed our hotel, however I have to say I am so glad we didn't and would advise anyone else having the same thoughts to forget them. We arrived on a Wednesday evening at 23:00 after a late flight. Upon arrival we were greeted by reception who advised us of our room number, and the member of security staff(Sean) offered to carry our bags to our apartment. Before taking our bags we were offered to get a drink from the all inclusive bar before we went to bed(this was very needed after a days travelling let me tell you), Here we were shown the all inclusive restaurant and bar area and served that much refreshing drink by Kyle, who was also very helpful and friendly.
After our first nights sleep in a very comfortable COOL,clean, spacious well equipped apartment, we made our way to breakfast, and again despite previous reviews the selection, quality and variety of food would suit ANY person with every dietary requirement.
After this we went to the pool area to find a sunbed for the day, again no problem and we found one close to the shallow end of the pool so our 3 children could enjoy the pool.
At 10:00 the morning entertainment began with Melissa(Kids Club) and George(poolside entertainment), who quite frankly could not be faulted in any way. They literally went out of their way to make sure all the guests and their children were looked after and entertained. Our children went to kids club both morning and afternoon most days and enjoyed it thoroughly. Georges entertainment programme of water polo, table tennis and darts was also a great ice breaker for guests to get to know each other.
Now i should also mention the other staff who work tirelessly to make the trip to paphos gardens memorable. Andreas(guest relations)-nothing was to much of an effort for him, a smiling face to welcome everyone at all times. All the waiting staff in the restaurant area always offered a smile, a welcoming drink before dinner and a BIG thank you after every meal. Plates were cleaned away from tables in a timely manner and always a helping hand offered if the kids couldnt reach for the ice cream.
As you will see from my review me my wife and 3 children had the most wonderful time at Paphos Gardens, so much so that the kids turned down a day at the waterpark only to remain on site in the pool. The food was great, the drink was always available from 10:00-23:00, the self serve ice cream was also always available and replenished as soon as a flavour became empty, and the most important thing that made our stay memorable was the staff, right from the beginning to the end. Nothing was a problem and we really do hope that you have a prosperous summer, we would definitely return to such a family friendly resort. Best wishes to you all

The Location was great for walking into Paphos. We had a 2 bed apartment which was fantastic. The rooms were clean but we didn't use the kitchen though as we had all inclusive. This was great as it saved us deciding where to eat every night. The food was of an excellent quality. Plenty of choice and my very fussy teenage kids (one a vegetarian) always found something to eat and nothing was too much trouble for the chef.
The hotel pools were clean and there were plenty of pool activities such as water volleyball if people wanted to join in.
The main plus was the staff. Everyone from the porter who showed us to our room on the first night to the bar staff, the waiters/waitresses and the entertainment team George and Melissa were fantastic. They worked very hard at involving the kids in games and also organised some great evening entertainment. It turned a good holiday into a fantastic holiday and I would definitely recommend.
