“Excellent Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Our first trip to Cyprus for which I utilised my travel bible, Trip Advisor!
Because of the good reviews we booked 10 nights half board in a sea view room for my birthday in August. We were not disappointed.
The room was large, clean, comfortable and well house-kept daily.
Both breakfast and dinner selections were extensive, fresh and varied. The service was very good.
The pool was fantastic. Large, crystal clear and just the right temperature. The weather was very hot so the swim-up pool bar was a god-send. The guys working there were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. Again, the service was very good.

I am the fussiest of fussers, but hand on heart could not find any faults with the Elysium and would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The sunset from a sea view room is beautiful

Having visited the hotel twice earlier in 2012, we decided to try the hotel for New Year and were not disappointed. The staff recognized us and made us feel very special, which enhanced the holiday. The New Years Eve party was very good, food, entertainment and the ballroom was decorated exceptionally well, creating a wonderful party atmosphere.
The weather was a little unkind, so the sauna, steam room, gym and indoor pool were well used. Unfortunately also a number of the local restaurants were closed, which limited one choice if you wished to have a meal out, instead of staying in the hotel. However, the Irish Bar O'Neills was open and was used occasionally.
As said the weather was poor, so we are returning in May to enjoy what the hotel and surroundings have to offer when the sun is beating down.

Room Tip: Definately get a seaview on 3rd/4th floors. Room numbers 3160, 3162, 3164, 3166, 3170, 3172 are idea...

We travel (couple) to this area for the 1st time , short vacation (long weekend) to get refresh from home's pressures.
Even the hotel was I think at 30% in occupancy, you never felt it !! , fast service ,warm staff and all what they are doing for you , come with a big smile and very polite…
You can see the amazing cleanness and hotel 's maintain in every corner at the big area of this hotel. The Pool (in-door) & Spa were great and for free ! very nice & large Gym with many instruments to practice on.
internet fee at the room – is expensive (5 Euro per hour!?) and leave you a bad taste, but there is a free Wi-Fi at the lobby, rather than that all is perfect !
50 meter from the hotel there is a long ,beautiful & romantic promenade among the seashore where you can walk, run or sit on many benches across the road , look on the sunset and amazed from God creation or maybe to remember your last call with your bank's manager..:)
enjoyed the life friends..

Room Tip: Room with view to the sea (not a side view..)

Had an overnight here after hearing positive reports. The room I had was on the landward side which overlooked the tennis courts towards the Tomb of the Kings Road. The balconies on this side of the hotel get the sun in the morning so if you like to relax on your balcony and watch the sun go down you need to splash out a bit more cash and get a sea facing room. Staff were friendly and efficient. The noon check out time gives you time to have breakfast and enjoy the spa facilities even on an overnight. Being winter, the receptionist did say that if my room wasn't being used that evening I could use it beyond the normal check out deadline.
Although a large hotel, it is designed in different areas so that inside or out there are quiet areas where you can relax. The gardens are particularly nice including the small church.
Nice little extra touches such as the complementary fruit and bottled water in the room.
Buffet breakfast was nice but the English style cooked breakfast isn't the best. The omelette and smoked salmon was a better choice.
One hotel which I will certainly return to and would recommend.

I was most impressed by this hotel. Not the cheapest, but real quality. Plenty things stand out but I will mention three - the variety of restaurants means you can eat differently every night for a week but always of high quality, the rooms were well appointed, great views and sensibly furnished but thirdly, and most importantly, the quality of service was uinformly high. We were asked to single out one person for praise but I could not. Waiters, bar staff, cleaners, receptionists, chefs - all understood the importance of discreet but personal service.

Room Tip: if you want quiet dont have a pool view

Nice large room with decent balcony, good view and spotlessly clean. Choice of about five pleasant restaurants within the hotel. But what really stood out was the service. From room maid, to bar to restaurant, the staff could not have been better - attentive, polite, efficient. This is service as it should be, and of a quality that I seldom experience.
