My boyfriend and I have just returned from a two week holiday here. We arrived at 11.45pm to be told that the kitchen had kept the dining hall open just for us if we wanted food, which was unexpected and lovely of them.
The room - We were given our room key and sent on our way. Before going on this holiday I had seen a few bad reviews of the hotel, the rooms, the food etc so was a bit sceptical when we arrived. We had a room on the 4th floor, which by all accounts was the best floor, and it was! Our room was brilliant, modern and clean. No problems whatsoever! The room was cleaned daily by the maids, who were all really friendly and left lovely notes with the shaped towels on the bed. We didn't book a sea view room but ours looked out of the side of the hotel which did over look the sea, we were very happy with the room.
The food - The beauty of going all inclusive is the fact your food and drink is included. The food is your standard buffet style, which is to be expected when you are feeding as many people as the hotel does. We cant say we had a bad meal here because in all honesty we didn't. If you don't like the food, you aren't confined to the hotel. I found a lot of people moaned about the food but piled their plates high, so cant have been that bad...If you don't want to eat there then don't. We did eat out a few times during our holiday which was nice and a bit of a change. There are a lot of nice places to eat within walking distance from the hotel, the Japanese/Thai - Koi - down the road was beautiful, with really good prices. Again, we didn't have a bad meal.
The Pool - Most people say about the sunbeds, I used both the plastic and wooden ones and to be honest its a sunbed. It is somewhere to lie in the sun and there was plenty of them around! We didn't get up till gone 9 most says and managed to get a bed by the pool everyday! The area around the pool was clean and tidy. The animation team were fantastic, there was always something going on! On their day off the area was very quiet. They don't push you into doing anything you don't want to do, and even if you don't take part in one of their activities they always found time to come and speak to you. They are lovely people, who work so hard for so long! Absolutely fantastic! We had family staying in a hotel down the beach from us and they popped up one day to day hello whilst one of the activities were on and said they would rather have had something like that going on at their hotel, they wanted to get involved!
We booked with Thomson, and Steph, our holiday advisor there was brilliant. She was so helpful whenever we needed it! She went out of her way to help my boyfriend with some things he needed to make a speech at a wedding while we were there.
Overall, we had a brilliant holiday, couldn't fault a thing. A holiday is what you make of it, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but one persons holiday will never be the same as another's/
All I will say is go and see for yourself, do not take anyone else's word for it. You might be surprised. We were and had an amazing time away together!
