We stayed in Panareti Paphos resort for few nights during a last minute trip. We liked the small size and the architecture of the hotel as we do not like huge hotels. It is conveniently located close to the beach and the harbour. The personnel are very friendly and helpful.
But, this is a very tired hotel. It needs urgent and serious refurbishment. Our apartment was on the ground floor facing the pool area. Spacious and luminous with a nice terrace and a separate living room. And this is all I could say on the positive side!
Somehow smelly and dusty, with old furniture and basic commodity, we just left the hotel after breakfast and returned at night to sleep. The bathroom was very small with cracks on the walls and visible temporary reparations. The support of the shower was almost not fixed. The curtain shower was particularly dirty. The toilet was falling into pieces…! We did not use at all the kitchenette. The door of the fridge was falling apart as every other door… There were ants on every surface!
The drawers were dusty, the tables too. There were finger-marks on the patio doors. The towels were replaced on a daily basis but there were quite hard to use. Bins were emptied daily but our beds were not touched!
The breakfast is very basic with limited choice. Local cats will keep you company while eating in the nice small terrace.
Thankfully, we were not disturbed by music and clubs in the evenings as it was the case in another hotel in Paphos but we could hear all the neighbours' moves through the walls and floors.
