This is a magical hotel!!! It is a relaxing five star hotel with lots of great facilities, beautiful gardens, fantastic service and a great spa. I can't describe how thrilled we were with our choice to stay at the Azia for a week!!
The food was really delicious!! The style of the food is fresh, simple and really, really delicious, mostly meditteranean food. There are some fantastic local dishes and some more themed evenings occasionally e.g. chinese if you wish to be more experimental. The service is fantastic. In the evening the service is more formal, yet still friendly and relaxed. During the day, one can stay around the pool and under the many palmtrees all day and smily waiters will bring the food to you. We ate outside the hotel only on one evening and regretted it.
Children loved the food, and the kitchen was very open to prepare something special for them when they were being difficult.
The Spa is super!! I tried the couple massage which was divine. The pedicure is great too...done very professionally , while sitting on a large comfortable chair in a secluded glass room watching the people around the indoor pool. If you get too shy, there are curtains that can be drawn around the pedicure room, but I really loved watching everything while being taken care off. I also tried the half an hour elemis facial, that was great for my face. The staff there is very professional and can advise extrememly well what is suited to your skin. Overall totally impressive.
The rooms were great. It is true that the Blue has rooms that are not as nice...still they are cheaper. We found the staff very willing to show us more room types once we were there and offer us options should we wanted to move. We ended up moving from the Blue superior room, to the Club and Spa Junior suite. The Club and Spa junior suite is large enough for 2 small children to share and has a great decoration, so we decided to treat ourselves and pay a little extra. The room that I saw and really loved but it was for only 1 child sharing free, was the club bungalow room , it has a garden, great views and total peace and quiet. We did not want to get 2 rooms (as we have 2 small children) so we went for the Junior suite in the Club and Spa. I think if you are after saving money choose the blue, but do expect a worse room than the club ans spa. Nothing is wrong withthe blue rooms but the club and spa are much ore stylish. We thought they were really worth the money spent. If our children were a little older (they are both under 4 years old) we would probably choose the junior suites with outdoor jacuzzi as they are really large rooms with large terraces and would give the children something to do all afternoon while we relaxed in our room. May be next time we return.
Overall a fantastic five star hotel!!!

- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- A small hotel may have all the charm in the world, yet what the discerning guest will sometimes miss is the variety of experience to make the holiday an unforgettable pleasure. This is the thinking behind the concept of the Azia Resort, a foray into sophisticated escapism that offers stylish barefoot living, understated luxury and casual unobtrusive service. Built as three sections, with plethora of magnificent spaces for carefree living, the Azia Resort has all the diversity to keep its guests contented for a week or longer. Each element of the three-in-one boutique hotel concept has its own character and fulfills different aspirations of the visitor. The Azia Blue is about sophisticated, spacious living and family luxury. The Azia Club and Spa is ideal for privacy and indulgence. The Residence is a haven of individual pampering and innovative style. The Azia Resort is situated a few kilometres from Paphos centre and is privileged to share close proximity to the finest locations and treasures of the island. One of the few resorts with a west-facing outlook, the Azia provides guests with a sublime view of blazing indescribable sunsets. The sophisticated design of the hotel owes as much to edgy London design as to local influences. The result an atmosphere that is sensuous yet earthy, shaped by the whole history of Cyprus and by the natural beauty of the island. The nature is suggested, for instance, by such details as the use of flower and leaf motifs carved on wood and stone as well as by the profusion of indoor and outdoor plantings. The history is present in a slick, fusion manner combining very earthy and artistic elements. Each area is influenced by a different chapter of the Cyprus history. Venetian Murano glass, hand painted silk and gold leaf decoration of the main dining room represent the impact of the Venetian Republic on the history of the island, while the main lobby has the airiness suggestive of the open spaces of the agora of ancient Greece. There the pebble, the marble, the greenery and the abundance of light combine perfectly with loungy loveseats and design furniture. The staircase banister looks like seaweeds moving with the waves and the piano lobby bar is a beautiful reminder of the colonial influence. The main bar, in deep sensuous colours, with finely carved wood lace on the walls and hand-wrought iron lamp structures, captures the fusion of Arab cultures on the island. The sybaritic Asphodel Spa is a hymn to nature, intriguing to the senses yet calming to the mind. The sound of falling water, the fine incense of ouzo and anise, the breeze in the garden treatment rooms, the rich natural textures; these and a variety of treatments offering different experiences have been deployed in its design to awake all the senses and sooth the body and mind. This is one of the best spas in the world, a space that can keep the visitor content day after day. The symbol of the hotel is the Asphodel, the immortal flower in the ancient Greek mythology. According to the ancient Greeks, it stands for the ultimate happiness of the soul and was the first sight a soul longed to see at the gates of paradise. Asphodel still grows in abundance wild on the island. ... more less
