“Excellent. Thank you Azia.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Having just returned home from our 7 day holiday staying in a Blue room on the 3rd floor I just had to write a review (incidentally I have never done this before) The Hotel and staff where great. All very Clean rooms and clean well laid out communal areas, lovely gardens and fabulous large clean pool. The food was amazing and as we where half board and able to swap Dinner for lunch if we wished to, then we could venture out to the port to eat in the evening which was lovely via the very reliable bus service just outside the hotel too. It’s not too far to the port, but a little too far to walk in the heat and it’s only a 1 euro fare. Now back to the hotel and a very special thank you to Vlad and Cecilia at the pool bar and to Mitch in the cocktail bar. They were excellent and could not do enough for us. I hope the management know what great assets they have in these 3 people and the team. Azia management your staff, service, food and hotel are all brilliant. Thank you so much.

Room Tip: 3rd Floor Seaview room 334 was ours and we loved it.

well i booked this hotel as a package with BA based on previous positive experiences, albeit a while ago now.

I neednt have worried - it as good as I remembered - if not more so!

From checking in to find I had been been upgraded to a seaview room, to the comfort levels, and the great service I got the last time is even better this time round!

Staff are wonderful - as are the facilities and I'm glad to be able to post the first review of 2013!

here's to the Azia rising up the ratings this year

Room Tip: sea views are worth it!

When we arrived at the hotel a crown prince was checking out at the reception. Later there was an event with very high profile european leaders with tv channels taking interviews. it was interesting to watch but We never felt that anyone got more attention than us. Staff remained very calm and caring , courteous and smiling despite all the events.

The service was top. The wifi very fast. There was a computer room that we could use too. The facilities for the meeting we used was very pleasant, with big windows and view to the gardens and sea.

The Spa absolutely fantastic. The pool, as the rest of the hotel, clean and well maintained. Good sleep, good food and nice gardens...

so no wonder we were impressed too....

We were there for 5 days. A complete relaxation, nice decoration, excellent service, very good food. The wifi is indeed extra powerful, especially in common areas such as lobby and bars. Rented a bike and so much to see on bike along the sea and in the area of paphos and the port. Very reasonable prices for renting bike, and all the food and drinks, while still getting a 5 stars service and comfort but not feeling you are being ripped off.

The beach is very clean with clean waters but best place to sit is high up ont he cliff near the pool so can enjoy the sea wind and the fantastic views.

Kids club lady was super good with the children and lotsof activities to do. One word of warning... The kids club closed the last day we wer there as it closes after the school holidays. We used the babysitter for 1 day for our youngest (2 year old). she was very friendly and good and helped around the pool. Our five year old was very happy by herself as there is a very large childrens' pool area and and aditional baby pool area.

The rooms well maintained and clean. We chose to upgrade to a CLUB AND SPA room as they call them, to have swome nicer decoration and more space as well as have the lounge area, to go which was quiet and have coffee in the afternoons.

A super holiday!

A wonderful break from routine in Paphos at the Azia Resort. The hotel grounds are superb. It is a very well run and maintained hotel with beautiful views and built between a park and a field accross from a golf practice field ...so very green and quiet. There is a busy pool life - next to the very big and clean pool - but you can take a break and sit under the palm trees or at the edge of the small cliff at the seafront and just enjoy the peace and breeze.

Very good wifi - fast and everywhere - and excellent fresh, mainly meditteranean food. Food is 'honest' and simple, tasty and nicely served. Big portions at good value too.

Spa SUPERB!

The rooms are very comfortable but the Club room we stayed on the third floor was superb - beautiful views, nice floors and design and very quiet. Beds are comfortable and housekeeping very good.

Overall service excellent even on days hotel gets very busy.

I was there on business and I extended by a couple of days to really take advantage of the hotel. The Spa is a REAL must! It does wonders to ones muscles and bones...not to mention the relaxation ofcourse!

The conference - the european parliaments' meeting - went very well too, and we all enjoyed botht he actual event and the time to relax. With so many areas inside and outside, even our drinks at break could be taken on the grass area. A UNIQUE combination of work and pleasure

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
A small hotel may have all the charm in the world, yet what the discerning guest will sometimes miss is the variety of experience to make the holiday an unforgettable pleasure. This is the thinking behind the concept of the Azia Resort, a foray into sophisticated escapism that offers stylish barefoot living, understated luxury and casual unobtrusive service. Built as three sections, with plethora of magnificent spaces for carefree living, the Azia Resort has all the diversity to keep its guests contented for a week or longer. Each element of the three-in-one boutique hotel concept has its own character and fulfills different aspirations of the visitor. The Azia Blue is about sophisticated, spacious living and family luxury. The Azia Club and Spa is ideal for privacy and indulgence. The Residence is a haven of individual pampering and innovative style. The Azia Resort is situated a few kilometres from Paphos centre and is privileged to share close proximity to the finest locations and treasures of the island. One of the few resorts with a west-facing outlook, the Azia provides guests with a sublime view of blazing indescribable sunsets. The sophisticated design of the hotel owes as much to edgy London design as to local influences. The result an atmosphere that is sensuous yet earthy, shaped by the whole history of Cyprus and by the natural beauty of the island. The nature is suggested, for instance, by such details as the use of flower and leaf motifs carved on wood and stone as well as by the profusion of indoor and outdoor plantings. The history is present in a slick, fusion manner combining very earthy and artistic elements. Each area is influenced by a different chapter of the Cyprus history. Venetian Murano glass, hand painted silk and gold leaf decoration of the main dining room represent the impact of the Venetian Republic on the history of the island, while the main lobby has the airiness suggestive of the open spaces of the agora of ancient Greece. There the pebble, the marble, the greenery and the abundance of light combine perfectly with loungy loveseats and design furniture. The staircase banister looks like seaweeds moving with the waves and the piano lobby bar is a beautiful reminder of the colonial influence. The main bar, in deep sensuous colours, with finely carved wood lace on the walls and hand-wrought iron lamp structures, captures the fusion of Arab cultures on the island. The sybaritic Asphodel Spa is a hymn to nature, intriguing to the senses yet calming to the mind. The sound of falling water, the fine incense of ouzo and anise, the breeze in the garden treatment rooms, the rich natural textures; these and a variety of treatments offering different experiences have been deployed in its design to awake all the senses and sooth the body and mind. This is one of the best spas in the world, a space that can keep the visitor content day after day. The symbol of the hotel is the Asphodel, the immortal flower in the ancient Greek mythology. According to the ancient Greeks, it stands for the ultimate happiness of the soul and was the first sight a soul longed to see at the gates of paradise. Asphodel still grows in abundance wild on the island. ... more   less
