Went here for our silver wedding anniversary as it had been recommended by our hotel. There was six of us altogether.
As soon as we arrived a waitress was there giving us our menus, which was great. She returned a few minutes later to take our order. We all gave our starter and after two of us had given her the main meal order she excused herself saying she would be back for the rest of the order soon.
About ten or so minutes later the starters began to arrive, but there were only four of them. To prevent them from going cold we decided to start. At this time another waitress came over and we asked her for the two remaining starters and asked to order the remaining main meals. Another fifteen minutes and the two remaining starters arrived and at the same time the two main meals that were ordered at the start. I was the lucky one as my medium steak was one of those that had arrived but my wifes rare steak was not to be seen so we were told to start. Just as I was finishing my wifes steak turned up. Yes it was rare indeed. In fact it was almost raw. Singed on the outside but cold and raw in the inside. We sent it back as she had only just started it. They brought us a new dinner 15 minutes later but the mushrooms hadnt appeared with this one so we complained. Just as my wife finished her meal the mushrooms turned up. Too late.
Dont go to this restaurant. Inefficient waitressing, sub standard food and a management that is quite willing to rip you off and give no apologies.

Our Family, me and two children visited in limassol february 2009. We stayed at hotel Chrielka, next to Muncipal Garden, close to the Old Town. Good location and service!

We had an excellent holiday here despite rainy week. Limassol carnival begun end of the holiday week. The entrance parade of the King Carnival was a memorable experience.

We took part two excursion, First to Troodos mountain and Lefkara village was excellent. Almond trees were in flower, i think that Cyprus was most beautiful in early spring.

Second Excursion destination was Nicosia, we visited also in Turkish side. When we came bacl to Greek side we had time to shopping, boaring...

Disadvantages: Limassol garbage collection do not work and above all there are not a traffic culture. So many cars so narrow strees in the Old Town. Cars block all sidewalks, pedestrian cannot cross street safety anywhere. Traffic was very noisy and dangerous. I hope more public traffic and more restriction on private motor traffic!

After all, i believe that I come back to Cyprus, perhaps next holiday destination is Pafos.

Thank the Lord we stayed in such a great hotel and the weather was superb. But as for Limassol it was probably one of the worst places I have visited and try to avoid at all costs, this website is a must ,at least you know before you get there and avoid costly mistakes.

I guess there is good and bad in any location and in parts the local council had made certainly an effort with planting tropical tress and had constructed some lovely parks and gardens. However this was outwayed by the arcitecture of the place it was hedious in most parts and had completely spoilt which is actually a lovely coastline.

I am sure the Cypiots can see the error in their ways but this is certainly a lesson how to completely distroy a resort and it is going to take some doing and careful planning to put it right ,if ever.

I have nothing against Russians but this place does cater for their penchant for tat and boy are the shops full of it; again a real turn off if you are looking for a bit of culture!
