Second week in june - glorious weather. Very hot, mid 30's every day with blue skies and a pleasant breeze.
Limassol is not the place to come for a tourist holiday. The 'tourist area' is very spread out and had very little to offer in the way of shops, bars or restaraunts. The 'old town' is difficult to navigate and not really what you would expect from a greek island. A few bits of nonedescript marble is all the history on offer. The beach at limassol smells awful and the sand is dirty, although the water itself is very blue and beautiful when viewed from a distance. The perfect holiday for those like me who wish to spend their days by the pool in your hotel but not for the avid shopper like my sister.
I would happily return to Cyprus but I will not be hurrying back to Limassol.
