“SOOOOOOO good!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

After completing a long run that day, i was eager to head out with friends and experience a notorious restaurant within out community!

I can only say good/amazing things about this place. Friendly staff, that advised us on the best picks on the menu. The place was full of people, including Cypriots... which means it must be good food! We even got to meet the Chef himself, which was delightful!

Placed on our table were some deep fried celery leaves. Sounds odd i know, but so more-ish! we then had an amazing salad and bread starter with a selection of dips, the main..... almost everything on the menu.

Great value for money, and Amazingly welcoming! Food was so yummy, i really must try some of his dishes myself! We will of course be recommending this place to all our friends and sharing our experience with visiting family!!

DELIGHTFUL!!!!

“Thanks. Great food and special service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

I would like to thanks mr Damalis for the advice for a gluten free menu. I asked him 'everything gluten free' and i had a wide variety of gluten free plates. Small chops, duck, squid, halloumi with bacon and more more more. Thanks keep going.

“Amazing! Our fav restaurant in Cyprus!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

We've been to Little Plates on many occasions and have always loved it! We've taken family and friends and they agree! The food is fantastic and Rudi the owner and head chef is very good at helping you decide what to order! As you can probably guess you order lots of little plates, which I love as its great to taste different dishes. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself is quirky. You must visit this restaurant!!

“One of the Culinary World's Greatest Treasures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

I discovered Ta Piatakia recently and enjoyed the experience so much that we were compelled to make a repeat booking a couple of nights later - for us, a unique situation. If you like your food then you must try Ta Piatakia. From the moment we entered, we were treated warmly by Roddy - Chef/Owner. You will never find a more passionate and hospitable foodie who wants to share his creations, knowledge and culinary experiences with anyone who shares an interest in what they are about to eat.

The hardest choice for the evening is deciding what not to order - Gourmet quickly becomes Gourmand. The menu, along with Roddy's advice (if you want it), cannot fail to peak one's culinary curiosity. Over the course of two evenings, I sampled halloumi wrapped in bacon with mango chutney, feta parcel drizzled with honey, baked camembert with chilli syrup, peri peri prawns, calamari salad, duck breast with walnut preseve, and goat with trahana, to name but a few. The sorbet is perfect and chocolat chilli brownie along with caramel cheesecake completed fabulous feasts.

Ordering wine is also a pleasurable experience - no carte de vins here. Instead one is invited to go upstairs to visit the wine room where selections are carefully presented - some with impromptu tasting notes. Most of the leading Wine Countries are represented and we plumped for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and a South African Pinotage.

Both Monday night and Wednesday evening saw Ta Piatakia full and one would think that reservations are de rigueur. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal but with a sense of liveliness. Fine for a table for two or twenty two. The wait staff is efficient, knowledgeable and well trained. Decor is anything but shy, which complements the food perfectly. With cheap, no frills, flights to Cyprus from London with Ryan Air and the like, I would certainly fly here for the a short break just to dine at Ta Piatakia - and that would be a fraction of the cost of dining at one of London's pricier eateries.

I wish Roddy well and hope many get as much enjoyment from him and his Little Plates as we have done.
