“good for people watching”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We have walked along here so many times. You can stop off at the many cafes and bars or just sit and watch the world go by. Plenty of shady places during the heat of the day or in the evening watch people strolling by. Haven't been this year and I miss it!!!

“Walking off the food!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Now it is completed the promenade walkway from St Raphael to Limassol old town is an excellent way to walk off all the excesses of the wonderful food and drink Cyprus has to offer.
The walk passes most of the major hotels and it is possible to access the coast road at many points along the walk if you wish to go to the shops or bars or catch a bus back if you can not make it on foot.
Hopefully the new marina will be finished in 2013 which will be another added attraction.

“An idea for a day by the sea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Park the car for a few euros at the kanika business centre on the corner of makarios avenue, have a workout for 10 euros at the anaplasis gym on the ground floor, then jog along the promenade or take a long walk either direction and back to your starting point , refresh yourself with a swim just across the road and finish off the afternoon with a drink at an adjoining seaside cafe. Don't be discouraged by the often indifferent service. The promenade is long ,sprinkled with cafes, pubs and hotels, you get the good ,the bad and the downright ugly but it has a certain raffish middle eastern charm and the evenings are balmy and breezy.

“Very romantic :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

I love long walks and I found this promenade to be one of the best ones. Lots of turists mixing with local people, great atmosphere and lots of good places to eat. Recommended for all ages!

“Excellent for a stroll or a very long walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

The amazing beachfront walkway goes from (at least) the St Raphael Marina right into Limassol old town, some bits are obviously better than others but there are plenty of bars, some fantastic hotels and fabulous private villas that you can wander past, never very far from the sea. The best part I thought was the Sculpture Park part of the promenade, some very interesting works and lovely surroundings. Unfortunately when I visited only about 1/3 was open as some exciting looking work is going on improving the other part. It looked nearly finished in late September.
