Description: Authentic cypriot cafe/taverna in a stunning, hidden away mountain village. Beautiful stone houses and ancient village walls, 30 minutes from Limassol. Hidden secret featured in SBS 'Feast' magazine 2011. Uninterrupted views of surrounding mountains and vineyards. Friendly and helpful service from the 2 owners (one lived in UK for 25 yrs). Fresh produce and peaceful surroundings. Brilliant!

“The little gem of kilani village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Where do I start. I cannot stop raving about this restaurant to everybody that I meet. This little gem in Limassol is truly wonderful. As you slowly go thorough the lovely small roads of kilani village you come to a beautifully decorated little restaurant. The family run vibe is felt from as soon as you take the first step up to the seating area under the grape vine tree. The owners show you true greek hospitality by coming to your attendance quickly asking you how you are and if you would like something to drink. There is no menu which to me says it all about village style of eating. You have a choice of what is fresh on the day and this is how restaurants should be. Only serving what's fresh and what in season.. I have never been here and had a disappointing meal. Visit this local tavern for a truly village experience. The place is always busy with the locals popping over for their cups of coffee. This is the perfect place to sit with a glass of ouzo/zivannia a plate of tradition greek food and just watch the world go by. So relaxing.

“Traditional Cyprus village food and hospitality!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

This traditional Cyprus restaurant (or taverna) is located in Kilani village in the Troodos mountains north of Limassol.

The food is fresh, very tasty and the couple that owns the restaurant is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant with its outdoors sitting area is perched higher than street level and its lovely. We visited in late spring and the combination of a very good meal and fresh mountain air was memorable.

Definitely worth having a meal or two there if you happen to be visiting the Troodos mountains in Cyprus.

“Homemade food, exceptional service in a traditional village.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Originally from Cyprus and an Australian resident I spend a month each year in Cyprus. During our holiday mainly in Limassol, my husband and I do regular trips to Koilani. We love the setting and its friendly and welcoming people. Aristos and Maria own a beautiful little restaurant in the heart of the village. They both speak English. Maria lived in the UK for many years. The food is outstanding, souvlakia, chicken, chops on charcoal, dips, salads, you name it! Maria also cooks traditional homemade dishes such as moussaka and stuffed zucchini flowers (to die for!).
We love this restaurant, we just feel so at home! With free wifi and beautiful surroundings, what else can you ask for? Highly recommended to foreigners and locals. 30 min from Limassol, worth the trip!
