“Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

very nice pool, dinner outdoor on the poolside was very romantic, the hotel has different shows in each restaurant almost every night, very nice atmosphere.
many restaurants for each taste, food is excellent. Breakfast has a very large choice and very delicious, varies between Mediterranean to Continental breakfast, salted dry fish!! excellent!
the room was nice but the plumbing and bathrooms were in a bad condition.
No free internet, and buying WiFi access was ridiculously expensive in the hotel.

Room Tip: ask for rooms on the upper floor and Sea view, room on the roadside are very noisy even at nights.

On finding a cockroach on the floor on returning to room one evening reported it to reception to be told that the room maid would deal with it.
The next evening we returned to find the cockroach halfway up the curtains I managed to knock it off the curtains and dispose of it.
Also the plumbing was much to be desired maybe it was because we were on the sixth floor but on having a shower the water would stop every two minutes for a short time making it very awkward to adjust
Saying that the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice

Room Tip: Avoid rooms over looking road, very noisy.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for choosing Mediterranean Beach Hotel for your recent stay in Limassol and for taking time to submit this review. We greatly appreciate your encouraging compliments on quality and variety of our breakfast.

We are very sorry your impression of the Hotel was spoilt by a pest in the room. We are very strict about the pest control measures taken at our hotel however in Cyprus there are pests that fly and can get into bedrooms when windows are left open. Even though the hotel is located in a natural habitat, we almost never faced with such natural and unexpected issues at the past.
With regards to your comments about plumbing we indeed had some water pressure fluctuation due to an area water supply problem for a very short period and glad to inform our Clients that the issue was promptly resolved by local water supply Authority.

Once again thank you for your feedback. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Mediterranean Beach Hotel in not too distant future.

Kind regards,
The Management

What I liked:
the large breakfast buffet, the swimming pool, the view of the sea from the bars and the restaurants, the natural light coming into the room during the day, the light of the lightbulbs in the room during the night, the large size of the room, the architecture of the lobby and of the large "multi-floor'' hall, the upkeep and the cleanliness of the hotel, the helpfulness of the staff.
What I did not like:
the fact that the room was not well sound-proofed and that, for this reason, I heard the noise of the car traffic from the road;
The fact that it was impossible to completely close the window of the room;
The fact that the flush of the toilet kept leaking water for a very long time after the usage.
The fact that the wifi was not free of charge.
The high prices of the bars and restaurants inside the hotel.

This hotel provides an exelent place for a vacation. Very good rooms, very good service and atractions including open and inside swiming pool. Dinner at the outdoor restaurant was very good.
In spite that I haven't time to get lunch the restorants outside looks very good.

Room Tip: I stay inb a room with exit door directly to the gardens and swiming pool, recommended

Business trip but hotel was excellent. Great Location staff very helpful. Did not eat there apart from breakfast but food looked excellent. One slight negative is that it could be very slow waiting for the lift and the stairs were at the extremity of the floor. More like an emergency exit than stairs.

We stayed for six days and would highly recommend this hotel. The service, facilities and staff were excellent and the whole experience enhanced our holiday. The beach side restaurant - and in particular the kalomari were lovely. Alexandra in reception was really helpful in checking our return flights in online so that we did not have to queue at the airport ... excellent service - you just have to ask. Would most definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We had a pool view room - perfect access to the pool and beach

This hotel has everything to siut the holidaymaker. Its location,facilities and accessiblity are excellent. The variety of menus at the three reastaurants leads to an eating extravaganza. The service is top rate with attention to detail uppermost. There is is safe and adequate parking at the hotel.
