“Nice hotel shame about the company!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2010

Our stay here at St Raphael ended yesterday after 2 weeks all inclusive. The hotel is beautiful, food excellent (except breakfast buffets, only stuck to pancackes and danish pastries etc) drinks, desserts fab. We found the staff very helpfull, friendly and always happy to help although our family member had some trouble with a receptionist.

Our room was serviced every day which was excellent. We had a family room which consisted of bunk beds in the same room as you and no balcony so no chance of a quiet drink ones the kids are asleep in bed. Lovely gardens, beach etc. Very poor even ing entertainment, disco for children which was same music and dance routines each night and only lasted one hour. Other entertainment not bad.

The only thing i hated about this stay here was it was full of germans and russians who we found extremly rude, greedy, and not liking english people/children very much. Our children were told to "shushhhh" by a german couple sat at the pool area as they were enjoying themselves in the pool. Also too many weddings!!

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you very much for your candid comments about your stay with us recently. We appreciate all reviews and constructive criticism as our aim is to constantly improve customer satisfaction.

We are so happy that you found our staff helpful as we have constant staff training programmes in progress with our moto 'The customer is king'.

Our guest mix does vary constantly and sometimes it may seem as though one out weights the other, especially in accordance with various national holidays around the globe. We do try to have a balanced mix of guests but this is not always possible. It does make it easier that our 43,000m2 landscaped gardens allow all guests to find their own space to relax and enjoy their own time on holiday.

You may be pleased to hear that our entertainment programme is currently under review for the next summer season and there is more of a variety planned.

We do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back at our resort and may we suggest that you reserve an executive room for your family next time, which both inland and marina view categories have balconies. It is only our standard inland family rooms that have no balconies (over 90% of our resort has sea view with balconies).

If we can be of any further assistance with a future reservation, please do not hesitate to contact us at sales@raphael.com.cy

Kind regards

Brilliant Holiday, great food, however the pool sides were all black mildew , the swim up bar seats were all slimy underneath, both need a good scrub, the sunbeds were filthy and very uncomfortable to lay on, the bedroom, area round the mini fridge was very dirty and the air conditioning grid needed cleaning, and wasnt very efficient, i had to ask for a fan to keep the bedroom cool, as we got passed ourselves at nightime. The restaurants were very good and the foor was brilliant plenty of it and plenty of choice, but the coffee pots on a morning needed a good clean. lk york

Good stylish rooms. Good beach with all facilitifes.
Great buffet spread.
Great fun for families.
Minuses- a bit far off from the tourist center, the hub of all the nightlife.
No free wireless broadband, a must these days!

Dear Reviewer,
We were delighted to read that you enjoyed your time here with us.
While we are situated on the outskirts of Limassol, this is because the beach is better in the area of town and the main tourist area is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel along the scenic beach road. This road then continues to a multitude of bars, shops, restaurants and entertainment. Indeed Limassol is quite a long, thin town.
We do charge for Wireless Internet services throughout the hotel and we have a variety of vouchers. A 12 hour voucher will actually cost €1.00 per hour. We are in the process of reviewing our Wifi pricing structures.

We stayed at the St Raphael in June 2010 for 10 days. There was 30 of us in total, as we had chosen the Raphael in which to have our wedding. Everything about this hotel is just perfect, the food, the bars, the staff and the rooms. If you are planning to get married in a hotel in Cyprus, make sure it is the St Raphael, nothing else will come close. We will all be going back in a couple of years for a reunion, and if 30 people all want to return to a hotel, then it must be pretty special!

We have just returned from St Raphael Resort following one week there and myself, Husband and two children aged 6 and 3 all had a great time and weather was fantastic. We had a room with bunk beds for the kids which they loved but our room did not have a balcony to sit on although with kids around this may have been a bonus! Food was very tasty and varied and although they did not have a kids menu as such they had pizza most nights, chips, sometimes fish fingers and chicken nuggets and service was excellent. My daughter in particular loved the disco every night and Ally, the childrens entertainer, was great. We mainly used the pool with the childrens slide but this was quite deep for little ones so be careful because my little boy nearly drowned on our last day and nobody came to my assistance to help rescue him, only appeared once I'd dragged him out! As previous reviews have said there are a lot of russians but they didn't bother us that much and not worth worrying about. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Trip advisor community.
If you would like to stay in a family room with a balcony on your next visit, please do ask for an Executive Room upon making your reservation as these all (both inland and marina view categories) have balconies. The only room category that does not have a balcony at St Raphael Resort are the Standard Family Inland Views.
We thank you for your note about the children's slide also. Our pool depth is 130cm which in EU regulations is the recommended maximum safety depth and this means that we do not have to have a lifeguard on duty however do have staff trained as life guards and of course in first aid. We have taken your comment very seriously and have already had a meeting at the resort to make sure our staff are attentive and vigile at all times.
We do hope to welcome you back in the near future and please do not hesitate to contact us directly for assistance with your next booking.
All our best regards,

We have just returned from 1 week at St Raphael in Cyprus I travelled with my partner children who are 13 and 14 and my partners parents when we arrived we were welcomed with a drink a selection you could have wine, apple juice or orange juice, which were very chilled. The rooms were quite nice with some nice decor the beds were quite comfy. we had a sea view room with an inter connecting room with the children and parents had a room next door. The only thing about the balconys i would say they were quite small, the air conditioning was great the rooms were very cool. The best thing was the maid came everyday including a sunday!

There were 2 pools one with a swim up bar and one with a small childrens slide i would recomend with small children watch them closely there are no life guards around. The pools were very warm so was the sea the beach was ok bit rocky though and is a sun trap!

The food was very nice, breakfast was good and so was tea and at tea we were welcomed and they greeted us every night they got to know us! at luch times we ate at the splash bar just a basic lunch. I would reccomend leos car hire if you ever wanted to rent a car (we did!) and also my mall shopping centre is worth a visit we all enjoyed this holiday the only thing that wasnt so good was the russians! they were everywhere and we found them very rude they push in front off you at meal times and barge pass you so just watch out and dont let it ruin your holiday!

Having read the reviews on here my family and I expected very good things for this Hotel.
In fairness it is a good Hotel, clean with good food and good service but it just was not polished enough I feel to justify it's 5 star prestige rating.
The Hotel definitely needs a makeover and looks a bit tired in places, the A/C in the rooms are not the greatest but adequate, the shower is not particularly powerful and ours fluctuated between hot & cold which was a concern when bathing a 1 year old child ( we did report it but little happened) and the lamp shades in our room were dirty which is not what I expect from 5 star and why the mini bar is not included is beyond me !.
The buffet food is very good ( book a night in the Phonecian for a set meal ) but again the presentation lets it down and therefore makes it non-inspiring.
To be fair it's all nit picking but it does all add up, however if you stay there you will have a good time.
For a change of scenery pop into Chester's bar 5 mins down the road, guinness on draught and the burgers are superb !.

Firstly, we would like to thank you for choosing St Raphael Resort for your holiday. We thank you for your comments as we pride ourselves on constantly improving the service we provide our guests.

We have more upgrades for this winter planned too. We are also pleased to announce that we will have a brand new beach bar and spa for next summer.
