The zoo used to be 50 cents to go in and was awful. There were 2 bears in a tiny concrete pen and tigers in tiny spaces. Now, they have been moved and whoever is responsible seems to have listened to the complaints. It is still a zoo, which is a shame but hopefully it will be closed at some future point. It seems to have more animals that are 'okay' in the heat now and native to hot islands - Griffin vultures, tortoises, emus etc.
