We booked to stay here for just a night as we were only needing somewhhere to sleep for the night.
We arrived on the Friday afternoon and Toni was really friendly and welcomed us with open arms, we had a drink at his bar and he stayed and talked for about 40 minutes. He then told his son had gone up to the rooms to switch on the air conditioning and the fridge "great"!.
We were not expecting much as it was not expensive, and yes it was as we expected 1970s. Not a problem thou as we were only in Oroklini to visit the Corfu Tavern which is an excellent Local Taverna if you are in the area.
It was in the morning that things got bad. We sat down for breakfast and were approched by a woman who scowled "what do you want for breakfast" we asked what was available she replied "eggs". So eggs it was. Once again not a problem for the price.
Then came the point of paying the bill. She told us we would have to pay for the breakfast, which was originally free, because we had free air conditioning. We did not use the air conditioning because it was like having a double decker bus in the room it was that loud, and we were not told that we would have to pay for it in the first place. She rang her husband Toni and told him we refused to pay for breakfast, she then said "ok you can have breakfast at half price" we again refused to pay. She spoke again to Toni and then slaming the phone down started shouting at us that we can go, Go she shouted waving her arms at us.
We lived in Cyprus for 3 years 1999 - 2002 and I can honestly say that I have never met such a rude Cypriot in all that time.
