“Small but interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

We drove aound this building so many times and were glad when we finally decided to pay a visit. It's only small but it has worth a visit. Our son really enjoyed sitting on the cannon and the little museum gives some good information on the history of the fort.

“Worth a look”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Interesting, inside the tombs and gallows a bit eerie. Lots of artefacts, Ottoman room and previous history displayed. Worth a visit

“Small but interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Located in the Medieval Castle. It houses antiquities from Early Christian, Byzantine and Post-Byzantine monuments of Cyprus and photographs of Byzantine Wall-paintings dated from 11th-16th centuries A.D. In another room one can find representative examples of medieval glazed pottery (Sgraffito ware) (12th –18th centuries), metal cooking utensils and guns (18th-19th centuries) as well as helmets and swords (15th-16th centuries). The objects’ exhibition is enriched with photographs of defensive structures (11th-17th centuries) and Gothic and Renaissance architecture styles of Cyprus (13th-16th centuries). The easternmost part of the last room has been transformed, with the appropriate furnishing, into an Ottoman ontas of the 18th-19th centuries

“Larnaca Fort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

This place offers a great view of Larnaca's beach and promenade and also of the sea. We visited early in the morning, but I suppose that at the dawn the view is even more beautiful.

“Only 1 euro 70 entrance but not a lot to see”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Lovely views from the top but not a lot to see otherwise. There is a small museum upstairs with some bits of pottery on show. Toilets leave a lot to be desired. A few old cannons and the hanging room where they hung prisoners. Can't even get a cup of coffee there.
