“beautiful and attraction in a serene environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Even though this is a very important site for Islam, the people of Cyprus have respected, protected and are actually proud to have such a monument in our country. A very serene and spiritual place, where you can feel the peace and holiness. Beautiful surroundings, and if you are lucky in the winter you may get a glimpse of the flamingos and other migratory birds on the shore of the salt lake.

“a peaceful spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

our first stop on arriving to cyprus was to Hala Sultan Tekkesi Mosque. Its beside a beautiful salt lake not far from the airport. The mosque is the third most important spot to Muslims after Mecca in Saudi Arabia and Al Aksha in Jerusalem. The mosque was built in 640ad on the spot where Muhammed stepmother fell off a mule and died. Its a very peaceful place and worth a visit.

“Islamic church by the Salt Lakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Charming location, close to the airport and a nice stop off before leaving Larnaca. The mosque is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by palm trees so a good location for photos.

“Amazing super spiritual experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Along the main highway facing the Airport, very easy to get to by car or even walking from McKenzie beach.

Always great to see the old mosques but with the history on this one even more spiritual to experience.

We visited with our 5 month old and access for a pram was not a problem.

Easy to access the Salt Lake along the back with pathways leading upto the Lake and then you can walk along it.

“What a serenely peaceful and beautiful place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful, calm, historical with an air of a warm friendly welcoming atmosphere.

I went here more than once as it allowed me to relax a little in comparison to the hustle and commercialised bustle of Larnaca city centre.
