“Tomb of Lazarus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is a 'must see' church. Though small, was built as a shrine to Saint Lazurus, who was the first BIshop of Cyprus and whose tomb is in the basement of the church and is open to visitor;bit creepy.

“A spiritual travel back in history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Entering the Church you feel that a strong wave of spirituality has passed from here. If you are there in silence you feel a connection with the divine. Every stone and every icon have so much meaning.

“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

wonderful church, very good preserved, full of history; The Church of Ayios Lazaros was built in the 9th century to house the reputed tomb of Lazarus, the man raised from the dead by Jesus. Recontructed in the 17th century, it is the most impressive sight in the town of Larnaca.
