“not a four star but a very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

I have just returned from a six night stay in this hotel. The room was lovely with a great sea view, however there was no information on the room about the hotel's facilities and there were no guidelines as to what the all inclusive package entitled you to.
The food was very repetitive each night and quite bland, however that staff were very polite and extremely helpful, which is more than can be said for the other guests (mainly eastern Europeans) who were extremely rude to both myself and girlfriend and the staff.
The pool was very nice and kept clean and the sea was a stones throw from the bedroom.
I would recommend this hotel to other young couples but make sure you read up on what facilities that hotel has to offer first.

Room Tip: Take a strong sun cream and stay out of the sun from 1200 to 1600 as it is too intense.

Thank you very much for your response. We are happy you to hear that you enjoyed your holidays in Cyprus and especially at the PRINCESS BEACH HOTEL. Please be informed that due to the reason that the hotel recently changed management, certain alterations had to be made one of which was the Room Directories. They have now been translated and re-printed and will be going in the rooms within the next few days. We thank you once again and we look forward to welcoming you again at our hotel.

This is second time i have been to The Princess Beach, and had a great time first time round.
They only cater for Germans or Russians now, they don't seem to welcome the english!
The Restaurant manager needs to learn how to smile and talk to people, he was so miserable.
The restaurant and bar staff didnt have a clue what they were doing.
on the plus side the food was lovely, but eat early as it is cold from 8pm onwards.

Thank you very much for your response. We appreciate all feedback we get from our clients. However, let us inform you that the PRINCESS BEACH HOTEL caters ALL nationalities without exceptions and favoritism. One of the Top Tour Operators which we collaborate with is SAGA Holidays -a British company- and all the feedback we get from them is nothing but positive. So when you say that the hotel only caters for Russians and Germans is slightly unfair. Maybe you happened to visit the hotel during a period when it had Russian and German groups. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoyed your holidays and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

we have been going to what was the Louis Princess but is now the Princess Beach hotel for almost 10 years. It has changed
The hotel has gone through some refurbishment, which was long overdue and is welcome - it is surprising what fresh paint can do. It has also gone through a change of ownership. For those of us whom have been going for long time the changes are noticeable and in some cases not so good.
Before you would always see a large team of cleaners every morning. This would include cleaning all of the sun beds and pool surrounding areas. This was not the case when we stayed. The rooms are not as clean as they could be - is this maybe because there is only 1 cleaner designated to look after a whole floor? When we went, this is what was happening

The reception area which used to have large comfortable seating now has what i can only describe as 'office furniture' which are not so comfortable. Gone are the computers which guests could use - at a price. Gone are the games machines which the kids used to enjoy. Gone are the table tennis and pool tables. I know these can be described as minor issues and probably did not fit in with what is reportedly a 4 star hotel and with the new management trying to raise standards.
I echo the sentiments of other reviewers in that there was so little information as to what was happening in the hotel. The previous owners had books/info in every room telling you what was on offer etc. These have all gone. Found an A4 printed activities chart pinned to the wall opposite reception desk that told you daily activities. If you didnt know to search for it, you would have never know it was there. In the rooms even the toilet brushes have been removed.
In each room we used to get the standard hotel packs of shower caps etc - all gone
In each room there is a kettle. Pity there is no tea or coffee or milk cartons. These used to be there. I suppose you can boil yourself some hot water and drink that?

Although the hotel has undergone a refurb, they have not managed to replace any of the bedding - still the same as all our previous years, not replaced the towels - still branded as Louis.
The chairs in the restaurant are still the same ones but with covers over. The sun beds by the pool are still the same ones and unfortunatley not as clean as before.
I must admit and maybe it was when we went, the pool was beautifully clear

At the time we were there (end of may) there was no indication that the beach side restaurant could offer food. Found out from other residents that the menus were hidden behind the bar and you had to ask for them. Probably explains why you saw hardly anybody eating from there - no-one knew you could get food. Again a lack of information. If you did not know to ask, then one would assume that there was nothing available. Remember this is all inclusive and 'food should be on tap'!
The waiting staff in the main restaurant were fine - no complaints. They are now all cypriots. Dissapointed that for a cypriot hotel, there was not more cypriot food.
One of the gripes i have about a hotel that states it is 4 star and bearing in mind what year we are in, why do we have to pay for wifi? to get it for free, go across the road to the bars or go to macdonalds. we have paid enough money, these sort of things should be included. The rest of the world manages to do this!!
It is still a lovely smallish hotel - in a great location for us BUT the changes have spoilt things.
I do hope that someone from Princess Hotel reads this and takes on board some of the comments. Do you want to loose a regular guest who every time they come take 3 rooms at a time?

Room Tip: if you can, insist upon ground floor garden rooms

We have just returned from a 4 nights stay at the Princess Beach hotel in Larnaca. This hotel is own the small side but don't let that put you off. I was not sure what to expect from a small all inclusive hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has recently been partly refurbished and is very clean and tidy. The pool area is brilliant and spotlessly clean. The pool area backs onto a private beach which has its own beach bar. The food was very good with lots of variety. The restaurant lacked atmosphere in terms of decor but the service was good. A buffet lunch was served everyday at the beach and this was excellent. The rooms were clean and tidy but lacked any character although the view was excellent.

Clara the PR lady is excellent and a credit to the hotel and she was always on hand to make sure everyone was having a great time.

The only negative is the lack of information provided about the facilities. We had to ask about everything.

The kids loved the free kids club. And there is entertainment 6 days a week although some of this is bizarre.

The hotel is on the outskirts of Larnaka and the main town is only accessible by car, taxi or bus.

I would not hesitate to go back to this very relaxing hotel.

Thank you very much for your response. It is always a great pleasure to receive feedback from clients and especially feedback that will only help us better ourselves. We are happy to hear that cleanliness and tidiness was up to standard as this is the first thing clients want to see.
As for general information regarding the facilities of the hotel kindly be informed that we have prepared our new Directory of Services that will be added in all rooms during these coming days. The hotel has recently undergone partial renovation but any suggestions we get are always very welcomed.
Have a pleasant summer and we hope to see you and your family very soon.

We were a party of 30 people calibrating a wedding over a long weekend.
The staff was wonderful helpful and friendly. We got most rooms with a front sea view… the view was fantastic.
Ideal for someone looking for an intimate hotel not crowded at all. we even got to meet and chat with the owner. Special thans to Sabos, the Events manager who was great!!
The beach is the nicest of the hotels in the area.
It's not the fanciest hotel, but for sure gives you the most for your money!
