“Never been made to feel so welcome anywhere outside of my home.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

I'm writing this review as we're being driven to the airport by Philip who owns the hotel along with his brother and sister.
As soon as we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome even though we were only staying the night. The actual apartments were nice and open and the air-con was powerful. Balconies are beyond big and the table and chairs were a nice addition. The food that was served was homemade and in one word, delicious - especially the pizza. We didn't feel pressured to eat in the hotel (compared to other hotels) and Philip even offered to take us to the local KFC (as he operates a taxi service much cheaper than the local companies) - being the food of choice for starving 18 year olds! The hotel is relaxing and the owners are a nice refreshment from owners we have encountered in the past.

Do not hesitate to stay here!

My husband and I stayed here for a week following a few days staying in other parts of the island. We had a weeding in the hotel opposite, so it was convenient, but it turned out to be one of the best places we've stayed!
The air-conditioned apartment was huge, as was the balcony, that had lovely view of the sea and the hills. It was clean and comfortable with lots of little touches that would have made self-catering a doddle.
The pool was clean and never overcrowded and the bar was well-stocked and reasonably priced.
The location was excellent- far enough from Larnaca town centre to be peaceful but close enough to get to quickly. There are lots of bars, clubs, tavernas and shops nearby too, as well as a beach within walking distance.
By far the best thing about Tsialis is the staff. This is clearly a family-run hotel and the service is impeccable. Everyone was friendly and helpful and just couldn't do enough for us.
We don't usually go back to the same place twice, but we are already planning our next trip here as we loved it so much.

Room Tip: There are rooms with hill views, sea views and both. Those away from the karaoke bar are probably a...

Flat we are staying at is quite large. It has a bedroom, sitting diner kitchen all in one and bathroom with toilet. Kitchen has basic utensils, cooker, fridge, oven, microwave, kettle and a toaster. British electrical system - no need for adapters. Toilet paper and soap is supplied. It takes some time to take shower as the pressure in the bath is quite low.
Flat is roughly cleaned and beds made up every other day as far as I can work it out. Quiet place very homey run by family. Swimming pool is there but nearby beach is perfect. Dino's Supermarket is just next door with very fresh fruit and veg. He even ordered on a regular basis very fresh meat for us from a local butcher. Downside is that there is no big supermarket. The nearest one is in Larnaca. So you either need a local bus or a car. All in all a very pleasant place to stay if you like it hot, humid and windy.

It’s an understatement to say it’s hot here. Sitting on the covered patio area, cooled by ceiling fans and the breeze that blows in off the sea all the time, you can see the heat haze rising of the cars in the dusty bleached car park opposite. Tsialis apartments have very generous 5 metre by 5 metre balconies but they're open to the clear blue sky and the blazing sun; so hot is it that the management don't supply sun umbrellas- no one uses the balconies during the day. Our balcony looks out on the scruffy back sides of a small row of restaurants and shops; a bit like the neglected and unseen bits of so many parades and high streets in London, only here its not damp, mouldy and stained but desiccated and shrivelled in the intense heat. The other side of the balcony is a glimpse of the sea, behind the main coast road and the two large hotels that back onto the beach. We walk through the grounds of one of them to reach the beach every morning, along beautifully manicured shaded walkways, past a crystal clear swimming pool and a regiment of sun beds extending beyond the hotel grounds and onto the beach itself. At that point we turn off to the right and march up the beach a couple of hundred metres to where the rather dirty looking sand (imported for the hotel guests?) gives way to a dusty small pebbled beach. Here we are comfortable with our mats, our sun umbrella and the morning and late afternoon sun. There’s a few locals around us, but mostly, in early July, it’s just slightly busier than deserted. The sea is wonderful; beyond the last band of shingle there’s a very gently sloping shelf of pure soft sand covered by a metre or so of clear warm water all the way out to 200 metres from the beach. This is perfect for families – want to teach your four year old to swim? This is the place. If you are inclined that way there are plenty of water sports available by the hotel, and sun beds if you want to pay, a bar if you want to drink.
At midday its back to the blocky white elegance of Tsialis. Through the hotel, across the main road and across a secondary local road that is bordered by a small supermarket and a couple of bars, doing laid back early season business. Behind the white washed walls of the hotel its quiet; one or two people sitting on sun beds around the small but well maintained pool. Down to the left at the back of the hotel building is a narrow but carefully manicured garden. Beyond the swimming pool at the front of the hotel is an extensive outdoor covered area for dining and drinking. We always choose to sit on the comfy cane furniture under the fans, beside the front entrance and the little fountain, dribbling lazily and visited by local birds frequently. There are sounds from the kitchen and bar and beyond that the sound of occasional traffic passing on the main road. Everything is clean and well maintained. The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial. The area itself is dominated by the two large hotels and a small number of cafes bars and supermarkets that have clustered in front of them. There are a few other apartment buildings and a smattering of private houses interspersed with unused squares of stony ground: some used for parking. You can stroll and browse in the evening but its takes no longer that twenty minutes to see all the summer clothes beach gear and silver necklaces available. The food is generally as you would expect in Greece, fresh, basic, middling prices.
Our apartment is big. Up four flights of stairs and through the front door, it opens out into a large space with a kitchen area at one end and a sitting dining area beyond. Off to the left there’s a reasonable size double bedroom and a bathroom. The floors are tiled throughout and the walls white. Everything is clean and cleaned regularly. The furniture is basic but the cloth upholstered sofa and armchair are clean and dry, unlike other places we have stayed where lack of attention has left this type of furniture smelling stale and covered in a sheen of damp greasiness. You access the balcony from large double glazed doors from both the bedroom and the sitting area. There are two air con units and both cool the apartment deliciously. Another nice touch- heavy white curtains that block out the large amount of natural light that would otherwise intrude in the early mornings.
Tsialis apartment hotel is perfect for us. It would suit people wanting a reasonably quiet time. Its clean, the staff are helpful and the accommodation comfortable and spacious; our flat could accommodate four people with the sofa used as a second double bed. There’s a bus into Larnaca but if you want to explore the island you will need a car.
The beach is five minutes away and offers all that you could hope for; warm clear water, safe swimming water sports and a sandy beach if you want to be around the bustle and expense of the big hotels.
Meanwhile Tsialis quietly goes about its small scale laid back business basking in the sun, underpinned by good values of cleanliness, friendliness, guest privacy and a thoughtfully comfortable bar and restaurant area.

This is a low budget hotel to stay but the hospitality the home made food the friendly environment and great service deserve at least 5 stars for me!
It's not always the stars that counts.
Very good location and suggested for families.
You can find transportation for a trip to Larnaca city or to any other cities.

Tsialis hotel apartments will give a family welcome and the staff is friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean, could use more towels though and some shampoo would have also been nice. Food is good but all me and my friends had was breakfast. Amazing value for your money. Location is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet, surrounded with greek taverns, restaurants and supermarkets at walking distance. Perfect location if you are visiting cyprus to scuba dive. You will need a cab to go into Larnaca city, and far from Ayanapa if you're looking for a party 30 min drive.

Spent a week at the Tsialis Hotel Apartments in March 2014 and had no complaints.
From the moment we steeped into the reception we were made to feel welcome - the staff are friendly and helpful.
The apartment was reasonably spacious, well equipped and had everything we needed.
The rooms were serviced, and the towels changed regularly.
If I was being ultra-critical a rubber shower mat, in the bath, would not go amiss - as it can get a tad slippery.
Being out of season the choice of restaurants was a bit limited, but we found an ideal place (Vlachos tavern) only 15 minute walk away - I guarantee you will not leave there with any room left! Similarly only 3 bars open in the locality, but the London Bar, opposite the hotel, was a reasonable spot and keenly priced.
The hotel grounds are kept in good order, with no chance of any rodents - the local cats make sure of that - they are always hungry despite being regularly fed (look out for ginge he will try to come into your room!).
Overall - a decent hotel I for one would certainly would go back to.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the top room for an extra bit of view
