We went to Ayia Anna tavern, after a friend of mine reserved a table for us. The food was good, the live band that was playing that night was nice. I liked the fact, that even though is considered a traditional tavern (and not so "in"), the place was full of people enjoying themselves. Even bachelorette parties were being held that night.

If you are seeking out a truly fun and authentic experience then don't think twice about coming here. The food and music are excellent and in abundance. The people are warm and ready to dance and if you are a tourist you will be one of very few in the place. Heaven!
Can't recommend this place enough. There was a movie about Aristotle Onassis In which they showed him taking his yacht to various islands to entertain guests and meet his friends. Agia Anna TAvern is exactly where he would have ended up on Cyprus I would imagine!

I have visited Ayia Anna Taverna on several occasions. There is a set menu and it is meze! I lose count of the amount of different dishes that are served but the food is of great quality and quantity! At weekends there is live music and sometimes dancing which enhances the lively atmosphere. The restaurant is an old restored village building and is very cosy inside and also has a very large outside dining area which is great on warmer evenings. You don't tend to see many tourists at this restaurant and it is always busy with Cypriot diners. You usually need to book in advance, especially at weekends.

If you want to feel the traditional authentic village environment of the Cyprus, you should not think twice of going there.
Everything is just to perfect.
The traditional Cyprus dance, the live music, the food....everything is something you must experience and not to hear.
