“extremely friendly staff....would visit again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2010

This is lovely mid range hotel with extremely friendly helpful staff, we opted for the mini suite as did our friends, which had a private terrace with loungers and sea view, seating area and shared jacuzzi area between the suites. I couldn't fault the hotel itself, it was excellent value for money.
The only thing which could be improved on is the private beach, its pretty awful but it is typical of all the beaches on this stretch of Larnaca coast, maybe just import some golden sand for a top coat, it is the Med so tides aren't really an issue or just clean it up somewhat!!!
The pool areas where really quite lovely and a childs paradise with a super little mini castle adventure play area on site and a games room for the older children.
If you're searching for golden sandy beaches the Famagusta region is the only port of call in southern Cyprus. But if you're not too fussy about the sand quality its the best for value and service on this stretch of coastline, Pyla / Oroklini .
Oh and not forgetting they have a good magican show too if you're into that sort of thing, a bit cheesy but funny.
But i just have to end by saying the staff are what make this comfortable hotel worth a visit.....very welcoming....

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with my husband and two children aged 10 and 7 over the christmas period. We were part of a larger party consisting of young children, teenagers, parents and grandparents. We did not book the christmas package but instead chose the bed and breakfast option for two nights. The staff at the hotel could not have been nicer. We were all facilitated with an early check in (on christmas day!!!) and a late checkout (2pm) when leaving. Most of the party chose the mini suites with a lovely out door area and jacuzzi. The jacuzzis were clean and hot and definitely worth the extra money. All rooms were clean, modern and well serviced. The breakfast was completely self service with plenty of options. The indoor leisure facilities are a bit old but adequete and are more than compensated for by the beautiful outdoor area and the beach. I am sure it would be fantastic in the summertime. There are also many restaurants and bars in the area. We had a fabulous meal in a restaurant called La Veranda that is just across the road.
Even though we did not book the christmas package we were welcome to avail of all the entertainment provided at the hotel. The children watched a film in a supervised room close to the main bar - even popcorn was provided- which gave the adults a chance to enjoy a leisurely lunch in the bar.
The highlight of the holiday was the magician which put on a show in the bar on the 26th December - Paul Thomas. He put on a show that entertained all from 5 to 75 and included audience participation by all ages too. He approached some members of the group in the restaurant prior to the show and during a casual chat removed one persons watch without them even being aware of it!! The magic also continued in the bar after the main show as Paul mingled at the tables doing a few more tricks. He was brilliant!! I believe he performs there regularly.
Overall it was a great break and a lovely hotel.

For the price we paid and location this wa excellent value

Good points:

location - on outskirts of Larnaka and easy drive to Ayia Napa
food - decent breakfast on offer
value - excellent value for money

Bad Points

Jacuzzi - Both indoor and outside were cold despite the hot weather

Room service - chargeable per order

We stayed a few days here in a beautiful sea view room - well worth the extra - room well equipped - huge comfy bed - bathroom was very good with fresh fluffy towels each day. Breakfast buffet style with something to suit all tastes. Dinner disappointing - again buffet style - not the best. Hotel is right on the beach at Larnaca - but that is it - nothing else there to do - a couple of tourist restaurants across the road - hotel though is very comfortable - would recommend for a chill out couple of days.

After reading some bad reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but the hotel was all I had hoped for. The room was large enough for our family of four, the breakfast was repetitive but good enough, the pools were very nice. The location seemed far from the city, but there should be no problems with a rented car. Staff very polite and helpful. The kids enjoyed the miniwaterpark. All in all, a great vacation, too short unfortunatelly.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2009

I stayed at the Lordos Beach Hotel with my two children and I chose it because of the location near the airport as I was only staying one night, then going across the island to a rented house. I would rate the place 3 stars at best, the family room /150 euros a night/ was just a double room with a bunk bed in a corner and we were totally squashed. The decor is pretty bad, really outdated but it is clean and staff is nice. The breakfast was horrible : lukewarm eggs, nothing was seasoned, the only fruit was compote... My kids liked the pools and the beach, it was a bit crowded for my taste, noisy and full of British tourists /no offence/ but I can see it wouldn't be bad in September or October when things calm down. From what I have seen, the whole area of Larnaca Bay is best avoided; West side of the island is much prettier.
