“50th birthday celebration with friends”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Hotel is ok, served its purpose. Much work to do for a renorvation, which has started. Also, the promenade in front of the hotel is dug up for renewal, but that will only make the area more pleasant when completed (in April 2014 apparently).
Staff were great and arranged taxis to Nicosia (5 persons with mini tour and walk through to Turkish side of city was euro125)......however Ayrton Senna was the driver, unbelieveable driving in the stretched taxi.......Black Beauty. Belt up and hold on !!!
Aircraft on approach to Larnaca Airport pass by, but we loved it. Spotting on Mackenzie Beach, especially the 18:15 arrival from Moscow Iluysin-96 `Beast from the East`.....not for everyone I know, but hey.
Would recommend the hotel, but again it depends what you are looking for. The 5 of us gave it a thumbs up.

It is true : the room was filthy, they didn't changed the towels ,not even once, the beach-beds and umbrellas were private and we had to pay an extra fee.The "cleaning" lady is cleaning your purse during the dinner. Not too much, because it would be obvious and one may call the Police. I've "lost" 72 Euro. I know because I had only few bills of 100 and suddenly one dissapeared. Instead I've found a bill of 50 and a few less small ones. Since I've stayed there 7 days it was easy to calculate. Only 2 times I've left my purse in the room during the dinner!! So, take care....

Room Tip: Rooms on the outside are quieter

Awesome Hotel, we have spent 7 nights here. All staff very helpful and courteous, especially the receptionists ladies. The maid service was excellent, every morning cleaning up,and changed the towels, changed the sheets, filled up the liquid for hair and handwash in the toilet,etc...The room was medium sized, absolutely good enough for 2 adults and one child and well-equipped there are fridge, toaster, kettle, but there were not cutlery. The Hotel location is great, in front of the mackenzie sandy beach. It was close to the airport, but it was not disturbing the off and landing airplane noise. In the morning you could hear the waves in the sea,it was very cozy. Just 20 minutes walk to town and to the famous Finikoudes and larnaca fort, and harbour. Breakfasts were pretty decent for a 3 star hotel. You could have a full english breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, beans) and other eg. ham, butter, jam, cereals, fruits, cheese ,coffee,tea,juice,etc...
I would throughly recommend these apartments to any one.I hope we can go back next summer.Special thanks for stef dea's help.

Room Tip: We were in rn:.301 with great sea side view

Good clean hotel. This was our first visit to hotel (but been many times to Larnaca). All staff helpful and courteous. Rooms basic but clean and maid service was excellent. TV in room which was a bonus for us. Breakfast choice a little limited but there was plenty of it. Hotel is in excellent position on Larnaca seafront (Mackenzy Beach area). Very handy for the beach (just across the road). A most enjoyable holiday.

It's a traditional 3 star hotel. If you need just accommodation & you have your own program for entertainment and fun outside the hotel , it's suitable for this. It's boring if you are planning to stay at it only without going out. It's direct to the sea having direct sea view rooms , beside sea view rooms and back rooms. Rooms are traditional with moderate furniture. Swimming pool is poor as it's very small on the roof. Food is good but limited variety. Staff is helpful and friendly giving you all advices you need. For just accommodation, i recommend ...

I find it shocking when some holidaymakers say that one should not expect too much for a 3* accommodation.
I pay for my stay in these places 3* or not. It is not free! And whilst I do not expect to be welcomed with an overwhelming bouquet of flowers or to sleep in elegant luxury bedding, I expect a minimum.
Our room at this hotel was filthy, despite the cleaning lady supposedly "cleaning" the room on a daily basis. The sheets and linen were stained and the furniture was covered in dust.
The hotel benefits from having a direct access to a beach but you cannot use the sun loungers, unless you pay everyday 5 euros for them and an extra 5 euros for the beach umbrella.

The only positive thing was the exceptional kindness of the bar staff and the taxi driver. It was a pleasure chatting with them and getting to know them a bit. Simply show them some willingness to converse in their language and they will wait on you hands and foot.
