My friends and I stayed at Ekali Hotel for 3 days in December of 2011 when we went on a school trip.
As you can imagine, we didn't expect too much from the hotel itself since it was a trip which concentrated to outdoor activities and not to hotel facilities. But I am able to say that it was better than we could imagine.
Ekali Hotel is near the centre of Kakopetria Village. It takes you about 5 minutes walk to get to Kakopetria Square where all the restaurants and bars are located.
Hotel Rooms are supplied by shower (with both hot and cold water), Television and Air Conditioning. Unfortunately, power sockets are not enough. (We had to unplug the Television in order to use our phone chargers). Generally, the rooms were quite clean except from the bed sheets which could be replaced. Although, sleep quality was not that bad.
Αs far as the Hotel Facilities are concerned, there is a small Playroom which can be used to spend some of your free time as well as free Wireless Zone. There is a bar which can serve you a hot coffee or tea (or cold refreshments, If you visit it during summer), while you rest in the lobby.
To sum up, Ekali Hotel is a good choice for short, medium budget holidays in Kakopetria Village.
