I went with a colleague for dinner in a hot (exceptionally warm weather this year in Lux !!!) June evening. We choose this restaurant because it is one of the "Michelin star" rated here and we decided we should try them all. Because it was hot and we were not so hungry we did not go for the suggested gourmet menu, instead we choose "a la carte", 2 main fish dishes: cod fish in the form of maki and roast turbot with celery. The presentation was nice, but the taste was not there:( At least the turbot was either overcooked or defrost, and lost any flavor - it-s a pity, but turbot has a very delicate flesh and should be cooked with a lot of care, which seems not to have been the case (I hope that only that night). The desserts, one with strawberries was good but this time the presentation was not at the top as it looked like a bunch of different desserts put on one plate in disarray ; instead, I "dared" a proposed one with a rhubarb compote and a cup of basil ice-cream, all presented in an ice-made bowl - interesting, both the taste and the presentation. With 1 glass of champagne and 1 of very good 2010 Meursault chardonnay, we paid 90 euro per person. I was not very satisfied, nor very disappointed, therefore I will come again to see if it will go better. A la prochaine !
