“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

I went there several time. You can choose between the restaurant, above which is really tasty with wonderful food and great atmosphere. You can also ask for help to choose your wine.
The brasserie downstairs proposes a more casual atmosphere where you can relax with friends eating something nice

“A nice and versatile restaurant with the world's largest wine list!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

This restaurant seems to serves all purposes: a gastronomic on the upper floor, and on the ground floor a bistro-restaurant with a choice between a warm bistro-like atmosphere with original interior design, a quiet "winter garden" and one of the nicest terraces of the center, in a quiet street of the old centre, with a view of the valley and Luxembourg's "little Manhattan" Kirchberg. I mostly visited the ground floor, which too offers the world's largest wine list that entered the famous Guiness Book of Records. The menu offers various dishes, mostly a mix between grandmother's dishes and fusion food. They also have a choice of vegetarian dishes. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and they have large opening hours.

“Worlds biggest wine list? Absent waitress. No value for money.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

Visited the brasserie the other day and we started out ordering a bottle of champagne for predrinks. The waitress came back saying that unfortunately they didn´t have the one we ordered instead she recommended us a different champagne...., turned out they didn´t have that one either.

The waitress then offered to repair her mistake by offering us a slightly more expensive champagne for the same price as the one she recommended, which she later did not have any recollection of... The food was below average. The chicken resembled of the frozen type infused with salt water, and didn´t seem cooked all the way through. And I would expect a 22 EUR "fish and chips revisited" to be something more different than just swapping the chips for sweet potato chips. Really creative...

When the dinner was finished I had a hard time finding the waitress as she aparently was absent. Just because it´s supposedly a brasserie doesn´t really mean that you hold back on the service, perhaps just passing by your guests at least one time to check on the table is enough. There´s plenty of brasseries around were the waitors even pass by the table twice.

Some people say the burgers are good here but I am not really sure if I would ever come back to this place, the service and attitude are really below standards. Seeing as 2 out of their surprisingly small champagne section of the "worlds biggest winelist" were missing, it makes me wonder how complete the winelist really is or if it´s just for show.

“World's biggest wine list!!! Above average gastro restaurant upstairs. Below average brasserie downstairs.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Holds the Guiness Record for the world's biggest wine list. The upstairs restaurant is expensive but great. The downstairs brasserie isn't cheap, but it isn't very good either

“Better bar than eating place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

I advise this one for its bar and late-in-the-night club, it's good fun even though the size of the place does not allow a huge number of people parying at the same time - but, this makes the ambience hotter as people have no choice but be very close to one another. The restaurant side is very average, nothing to be very excited with, if there is no other choice, otherwise I'd advise you eat somewhere else, then come for a drink or more.
