“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Remember it well and loved the history and armour and banners and the ceremonial 'stuff'. Impressive floors. Quite atmospheric.

“Spectacular building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

The Grand Master's Palace has relatively few rooms on display, mostly because so many of them are still in use today as either the Presidential Palace or the Parliamentary offices. The main halls are superb, with spectacular painted walls and ceilings that you could easily spend quite a bit of time gaping at. Other rooms, however, are somewhat more frustrating as they're almost entirely roped off and kept fairly dark, so it's difficult to see many details of the paintings, tapestries, or furniture.

There is a lovely courtyard that is excellent for lingering.

“a very small palace with few rooms to see but nice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

6 euros to get in and a do it on your own tour. It only had a few rooms but they were very nice. The ceilings were just beautiful!

“Interesting ,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Walking from room to room ,you see the furniture , settings and paintings much as they must have been in ancient times ,tapestries and pictures in excellent condition , maybe well restored ? Also lovely floors .Included in the entry fee was a tour of the armoury .This held weapons and costumes both of the Grand Masters and the Turks etc who had fought them .A few. Stairs to climb , but a lift also was provided , so no hardship .Small courtyard with gardens , and of interest too , we're the sentry,s on guard at the gate and watching the regular changing places of these two Sentries . .Worth a visit .

“Not as impressive as we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Short trip through the palace, so not really good value for money. Not a huge or impressive example of a royal / presidential palace but perhaps worth a trip for the afficionado.
The Co-Cathedral next door is much more impressive.
