“If you can find out when it's open it might be good.....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

in contrast to the co-cathedral the Anglican cathedral is austere externally with absolutely no indication when it's open. Very unwelcoming especially as we'd walked a long way to find it!

“Worth a detour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

The Anglican pro-cathedral is an impressive building, punching a little above its weight. It is interesting for its history, and its association with the British presence in Malta, from its founding in 1839 by Queen Adelaide and through the siege of 1940-43. It has a magnificent setting in Independence Square, and stands out imposingly viewed across the harbour from Sliema. A rather spartan neo-Classical exterior and interior makes a change from the baroque excesses of some Maltese churches. There are some interesting mementoes of the church's earlier history at the back of the church, and it is a good place to fell cool and restful.

“Worth a look”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

Met a couple of English guides here who were very friendly and informative. An much more modern Church than the rest of Valetta with strong connections to the armed services. The guides even showed us the view from the vicar's lodge.

“Wonderful Church & Maltese landmark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

It's like stepping into an English church and I used to always Worship there when a member of the Church of England. It's a heaven of tranquility inside and a well known landmark in Valletta next to the Catholic Church of "Our Lady of Mt Carmel"..Sadly on my last visit the Church was not open when I went to visit and was locked.I'm not sure why as it's always been open and even unattended.I left the Church of England but recommend this Church as a place to visite

“So much to look at!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

This is a lovely unusual Church. There is so much to look at and see. Very nice atmosphere. Lit a candle for my son in the US and, that very afternoon, he texted me to say he had been given double his hours in his job as a lawyer, which was what I had just prayed for! Thanks, St Paul.
