“Not the Malta experience”

An over priced film show that one could do better by buying a DVD.
Nothing else to do or see except of course the shop!

Great place to start your trip to Malta. Audio Visual info first class and gives a great overview of the amazing history of this country.

“Not such a great experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I am afraid I had sold this experience to my husband as a must see (as that is how it was sold to me) but unfortunately it really wasn’t that spectacular. It was certainly nice to hear about the history of Malta, which is absolutely fascinating and the theatre was very comfortable. However, the headphones were difficult to hear and the whole experience is definitely a bit dated – perhaps a move with the times by making it 3D or 4D might help it along. It lasted no more than half an hour and was expensive at 14 euros per adult (thank goodness the ticket price included the tour of the Knights hospital). The building itself is beautiful and the gift shop is excellent. I would probably advise giving Malta 5D a go instead – it bound to be more exciting than this.

“Old Valletta with plenty of sea view”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Valletta is the capital of Malta and its old streets and alleys are very nice. I would see clean. Most of Manhattan streets show a glimpse of the sea. Central palace and the fountains nearby (triggering in dance every hour) are great amusement for the kids (and adults). You can walk down the street to see the monument (from 2nd world war) situated at the edge of the wall, with a very NICE sea and city scenery. Prepare to walk a bit, reaching Barraka Gardens.
Overall, the trip to Valletta was successful. You can reach using buses (only 2.6Euro for whole day). Food was very good too relatively (get the rabbit specialty dish).

“Romancing the Knights--but I loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

It seems as though so much of Malta's history is told as though the Knights of Malta founded the island! But this short, well done film covers all of the history, including the important part Malta played in WWII. We thought it was well worth the price.
