We stayed here whilst visiting family in Malta and experienced no problems.
The hotel is set a little way from the waterfront which means a short 5 min walk through the streets of Sliema. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for longer trips.
The hotel is one of the oldest buildings on the Island having survived WW2. It is full of history which the hotel does not really advertise much like its famous guests inc, Queen Elizabeth 2 and Winston Churchill.
The hotel is tidy and thanks to the older style building very cool in summer. This is one of the few Hotels on the island to have a proper garden courtyard and ground level pool something all the other higher star hotels in the area are missing
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast is a little limited but adequate. Snacks can be purchased at very reasonable prices from the pool bar.
This hotel is popular with senior guests staying year after year so if your looking for a loud venue close to nightlife where the staff and other guest are happy for you to run wild then this is NOT place for you.
I will stay here again.
