My husband & I stayed in this hotel as part of our Malta & Tunisia vacation thru Academic Tours last March 2006. We arrived at 11:00 Pm from Tunisia and the reception personnel was very cordial & prompt. He even offered us refreshments while he was processing our check-in. Our room is not that spacious but very clean. The bathroom is spotless as well but will benefit from a little upkeep. Nothing serious though; just chipped & cracked tiles noted in a corner and a little color can brighten it. Also, our room did not have a view of the bay, only windows of the other hotel rooms. A trivial complaint of mine is that the hotel has limited number of rooms with views of the bay and they were all occupied when we checked-in. However, the restaurant and breakfast spread was just fabulous. We enjoyed the bountiful breakfast & the service is just excellent. We left the restaurant happy, energized and ready for the day's sightseeings & activities. Overall, the place is a good place to stay & I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my family & friends if they find themselves in that corner of the world.

We took our mum on holiday as a treat. we checked in during the early hours and were very disappointed with the "lift shaft" rooms (as described by others). Not to be deterred, I left my grumpy husband in the room aftre a few hours sleep to sort the problem out. The duty manager contacted the housekeeper who seemed to magic adjoining rooms for my husband and I, and my mum on the second floor which was much better. The rooms are kept immaculately clean with service every day - even asking if you want your curtains drawn in the evenings and sweets left on your pillow after each clean. The food was amazing. Not used to such banquets each day, we have all gained at least half a stone. The staff were fantastic and made a big deal of spoiling mum.
As we stayed during the easter break, we were left chocolate bunnies and a happy easter note too!.

The many churches are beautiful and the easter parades very colourful and entertaining. a good time to visit. The buses are frequent and cheap and the visit to Valetta for shopping was convenient,.
Not much in the way of entertainment in the evenings as the place is more for people watching along the sidewalk cafes and bars. many locals drink coffee and chat there in the evenings.

I would reccommend a trip on the turkish gullet during the week as its a little less crowded than the weekends. You can take a trip around the island and visit the blue lagoon, go snorkelling (mind the jelly fish) and take a trip on a speed boat - all for around 20 lira which is excellent value. We booked via the hotel rep as the touts outside are not as reliable, and we heard of buses not turning up for people. The Malta experience (audio visual show) is quite good and gives a history of Malta.

We had a lovely chilled out holiday and the weather was good - not too hot. I would recommend this hotel, but make sure you find out which room you're getting before you go.

When we arrived we were horrified that our room was looking into a sort of 'lift shaft' and in order to see the light of day you had to go onto a little balcony and look up 4 floors to see a few feet of sky! The photo on their website shows beautiful views overkooking the creek but to get this view you have to stay in a room with numbers ending 01 02 or 03. That being said, the hotel was excellent, staff very helpful and rooms very clean. The restaurant is excellent and the staff there more than excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone plus in an excellent position to travel throughout the island. Most fares a single amount of 20cents. From airport, take bus 8 to valetta then 68 to almost hotel front door - cost 40cents!! Try a visit to Cafe Jubilee, great bar and great food only five minutes away.

my partner and i have been coming to this hotel for many years, and find the place a dream. The rooms are very nice and well kept. The staff are very helpful and are willing to go out of their way where ever possible. Overall a very pleasent stay! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
