“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

This is a small Museum which has been completely refurbished featuring paintings, silver and furniture. Also included in the price of admission is a visit to St. Paul's Grotto, where St. Paul is believed to have founded the first Christian Community after he was shipwrecked on the island in the year 60 AD,, catacombs and shelters where the locals took refuge during WWII.

“Alot to see and interesting catacombs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Good place to visit - good audio guide that shows you firstly round catacombs and world war two shelters but then the galleries as well. They take a credit card or driving licence so that you take the audios back !!!!

“Good value 3 in 1 attraction”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

The museum has some interesting art work of the knights templars and their history on the upper floor, but the real interest lies below in the st pauls catacombs that are an intriguing labyrinth of narrow chambers that you are free to wander through( unlike the other st pauls catacombs up the road a bit) they are well lit and some were used as WW2 shelters and have been preserved as such. The highlight is St Pauls grotto, were the apostle Paul was said to have lived when he was shipwrecked on Malta. All in all a very good value for money attraction and highly recommended
The resturant is also very good for a meal afterwards

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

The Wignacourt Museum, which also provides a pass to the Grotto of St. Paul, is a lovely small museum in Rabat featuring paintings, decorative arts, and furniture of the area attractively displayed. Well worth a visit.

“Nice museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Nice ecclesiastical museum. Collection consists of paintings, artifacts, reliquaries, etc. If you are on a short schedule, you can omit it, or substitute it for the Diocesan museum in near by Mdina. But if you have an hour to spend, stop by!
