“Third largest dome in Europe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

Rotunda of Mosta is the fourth largest unsupported dome in the world and the third largest in Europe.
Incredible athmospere in this huge dome. There is a replica of the bomb to see ,which pierced the dome during the 2-nd world war that did not explode.
Its open to the public at 3:00 PM (afternoon). Awesome for fotography enthusiasts.
This is a must see .

“Very special you must visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

From the outsize you can see some very attention to detail design. The maltease are very proud off. This is the 3rd largest dome church in europe and only when you go in side dose the size take you back with 100's of seats and alters at several points. The church has a small room dedicate to the bomb that droped and did not explode. Inside the church eas clean and quite. To me very special place to visit each time i come to malta. Its free but the gentleman at the reception appreciate a donation i gave. Regreat is a horrible thing dont regrette not seeing this amazing special place.

“Beautiful Building”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Worth a visit if you are in Malta.
The dome is enormous and the paintings round the edge are of interest.
Of course you have to see the replica of the unexploded bomb which fell through the roof during WW2.
Look for the bust of Angelo Gatt who was the Master Builder - and an ancestor of mine!

“Gorgeous place to visit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Beautiful impressive church, breathtakingly beautiful inside.

The only downside is you can't visit during a service, which is totally understandable, but the visiting times are short. Something like 10-11.45am then 3-5pm.

We arrived at 11.15 to find a service ongoing, it finished at 11.30, by the time the people were out (it was packed solid with 100's of people) we only had 7 minutes left to spend in there.

Would have liked a little longer, but at least we got in.

“Gorgeous”

Wow this church is stunning and the history the architecture - Mosta itself very quiet and not a lot else to see but for an hour or so you can lose yourself in sheer heaven here walking around
