This is more of a kitchen with a bar attached – and that's a good thing. The menu changes daily according to what ingredients are available, and the vernacular approach to cooking results in real Maltese food. The service is friendly and flexible (for instance I was able to ask the chef to cook me spaghetti with cuttlefish – just brought in) – and the prices are affordable throughout. It's very hard to come out of The Rising Sun with anything but a full stomach.
