Owner description: It is an audio-visual,fine arts and historical museum that tells a story. It is unique in the Maltese islands in that its construction, including a medieval wing, was conceived and designed as a modern multi-mediatic museum that includes audio-visual halls and interactive points on every floor. Basically this museum and cultural centre, displays a rich collection of historical and artistic artifacts.

“A museum for everyone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

On a narrow alley next to magnificent St. George bassilica you will find this small, creative and a bit cheeky museum. Around the museum's spine you can follow Gozo's history from thousands of years before Christ until now.
This mixed with artwork and artifacts from St. George bassilica and Gozo makes this an interesting and fresh Musseum that is easy to take in for all ages.

A special thanks for letting us participate in venisage and for giving us the opportunity to meet all of you amazing people! See you the latest in April;-)

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Visited this little museum in Gozo, Victoria last week. With a structured backbone through museumets story showing the development of history was a brilliant idea. The museum is bright and open and show enough of historical items for an interesting tour for us who do not want to spend hours wandering around museum. Staff were friendly and supporting We also got the opportunity to participate in the evening's art exhibition where we really got samples of how hospitable and friendly people are on Gozo. Thanks to you all for a fantastic day and evening

“Very Bright And Beautiful Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

This is a very nice Museum. Just the right size. Some Museums are just too big and it's hard to get around. This is nice and bright and gives a perfect amount of history and artefacts from the St George's Basilica which it is right beside in Victoria. The staff are very helpful and friendly. And only €5 to enter. St George's Square is just beside it with nice little cafe's. And it is also situated in the beautiful narrow streets of Victoria.

“I loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

This is one of the EU supported museums. It is well laid out, Interesting, clean with interesting religious paraffinalua that one finds in some other museums. Here however it is somehow lighter and more fun. The museum also houses works of art of famous medieval painters as well as some modern Maltese painters. It was a joy to visit.

“A bijou museum.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

I am lucky enough to live on Gozo and I took my father who is visiting to this 'museum'.
By its nature this is not what many would expect. It houses relics mainly of a Catholic religious nature but the centrepiece is what is known as the 'Spine' which is a clever and artistic representation of the geological and basic social history of Gozo. There are two rooms giving audio/visual presentations but they could and should offer seating (particularly for those who cannot stand for any length of time) and a choice of languages to fully appreciate them, Another room offers a choice of local music.
The cafe was not open when we visited either, that was a shame.
This 'museum' is still 'work in progress' but what we appreciated was speaking with the two members of staff there. As with everyone I meet here they were both charming and informative.
