“Best meal on Gozo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This was our last night on Gozo and we picked this restaurant for our meal. The staff were very attentive, extremely polite and very friendly. The food was excellent. The service was 1st class. The overall experience was fantastic. I would make it 1st on my list for meals next time I visit Gozo.

“Great food, great setting very welcoming staff, good value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

The staff couldn't have been friendlier, and food was excellent. Service at times slightly slow, but for this they were very apologetic. Eager to please, and even a drink on the house to finish. Great value for money, would go again.

“Amazing food and unique sea view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Just finished eating fresh local catch, sea bream was wonderful, rabbit was lovely, and the cozze paccheri pasta is divine...
All this with very good service and the best sea view on the island ... I am a local who have been coming here with family and friends and will definitely be back next week...

“Slow service, cold food and just plain crap!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

There is really no excuse for the level of service we experienced at this restaurant last Friday. The only reason we did not get up and just leave, is that I was starving and kept telling my dining partner, it wasn't so bad... But it was!
We ordered mussles for starters, as in any restaurant this is a meal that usually reaches your table quickly, as it is one of the easiest dishes to prepare fr kitchen staff. Ours took nearly 45 minutes to reach table - and it was cold!
After another 30 minutes, the entrees got there. Also cold. The pasta was overcoooked and hadn't been near heat for at least a good 10 minutes. My chicken was same story, cold and left so long on plate that it had gone dry. Sidedishes of veg and potatoes was - guess what - cold!

Ny dining partner ate just a few bites of his pasta, as seafood pasta; when both cold and overcooked is quite disgusting. I went through most of the chicken breast, as I hadn't eaten all day and were near fainting. But this is one of the least enjoyable meals I have ever had and put a damper on what had been a great day in Gozo. The excuse from head waiter was this 'we did not expect so much business'There were at least 6 staff bouncing around and they should have been able to handle the tables that were there, even with 2 larger groups.

Even the coffee was crap, my cappucino had no foam and tasted like it was made with long life milk and instant. Even with the pasta removed from the bill, and the crap coffee on the house, this is not a place I would recommend. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but when all aspects of the meal fails, it is beyond a bad day...
