“Best tuna ftira in Gozo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We often walk over the cliffs to Hondoq from Mgarr, where we keep our boat, and it's a great route with stunning views over to Comino and the Blue Lagoon. Hondoq isn't much to look at but it works: there's just enough beach and the quay always has enough room to park, sit, and enjoy the sun, sea, and view. Hondoq Kiosk's Wednesday night BBQs in summer are fun, tasty, and deservedly popular - do book in advance. And the kiosk does the juiciest, crispiest tuna ftira. Washed down with Cisk, it's the perfect Gozitan lunch.

“Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

This bay is the best on Gozo. Pebble turning to soft sand. Not crazy busy and the sea is turquoise with incredible snorkelling at its far end. The promenade at different levels forms diving boards for the kids and the water is lovely and deep so it's so safe. I did not want to leave... Forget waterparks! Just go to Hondoq!!
TOP TIP: take insect spray to the restaurant area as the flies are annoying.

“Best Sandy Beach on Gozo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

This place is ideal for families as you have the sandy beach and shallow water for young children and the rocks for entertaining the older children. There were only the two of us - no children in tow but visited here twice as it was just so relaxing and enjoyed watching the youngsters (and a few older ones too!) jumping and diving off the rocks! Boat trips available and diving too! A fantastic little snack shop right by with tables in the shade and all at very good prices - free car parking too right by the beach!!

“THe best place to Snorkel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

Together with the area around Fungus Rock, this is the best place to enjoy a late afternoon swim and snorkel, with many fish and the occasional small octopus. It can get very busy here at times, but for some odd reason, hardly ever seems crowded.

“Perfect little bay for everyone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We stayed in Gozo for a week and ended up here nearly every day in late afternoon, popular with locals, has a small sandy area for families and bathers, a diving point for the brave and further down a rocky inlet with steps into the clear sea, perfect for snorkelling, Joyride run small boats to Comino from here, they also run Hondoq Kiosk, where you can sit under the shade and buy fab pizzas, salads, burgers and all sorts of drinks and icecreams. we walked down to here from Qala and the walk back is pretty hard going, we were lucky to get a lift back up...once.
