“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014 via mobile

We were looking for breakfast and kept thinking we would find somewhere better as we headed to Wellington, and this was our final choice. The best breakfast freshly cooked, lovely staff and great venue, spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

I have been meaning to write a review about this cafe for ages it is consistently good, incredibly clean, great food and coffee and friendly staff. It is one of the best options for a stop between Taupo and Wellington, child friendly as well.

Thank you Sarah, we have further plans for our kids area, work in progress with the aim of keeping the kids occupied while parents can take a break. Alan

“Nice place to break the journey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

Have been driving past this place for a while now and never been in. Watched as the old place ravaged by fire was removed and the Woolshed rise in its place. Decided to give it a try just before Christmas shopping in Palmerston North. Nice place where they have kept many original features, good choice of breakfast and brunch food on the menu. The big breakfast did not disappoint and was more than enough. Prompt and efficient service, food was cooked well and catered for a few of our special requests regarding the eggs. Nice outdoor seating and will make this a more frequent stopping place. Suprised it does not have longer opening hours as 9am to 3pm is a short window of opportunity.

“Best place to stop on way to wellington”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Flashed by this place on way to wgtn having had a pie at the market, which was nice. We decided to have lunch on the way back and found it to be the ideal stop for lunch, main meals coffee whatever
Good food, wonderful purpose built setting, with separate areas which was nice. Frienl staff, value or money...what more can I say except we probably will make a point of stopping here whenever we travel. Oh, there is also an area set aside off the car prk expressly for exercising your dogs..how thoughtful is that. Well done the woodshed!

“Thank you”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Over the last 8 weeks as we have travelled to and from Palmerston North we have called into this cafe most week day mornings for either a morning coffee or lunch and without exception the service, hospitality and food has been excellent. My daughter created a 'tab' for us and this 'gift' was administered without fault, in fact it worked so well, we kept adding to the tab.!! as we enjoyed our stop so much. On cold mornings the fire was going and the morning paper readily available. To Francis, Alan, Rachel, Merrin and the chef: thank you, we will return whenever we are down your way..
